Man, he was really accurate today. Hope his hand injuries don’t have an affect on him.

Kyle Kuzma is 9th in the NBA in volume of contested catch and shoot jumpers taken

His PPP open vs guarded is only 0.01 better, so he's essentially the same shooter open or contested

I wonder what the definition of contested is.
And he must not be accounting differences in 2 and 3s.
https://stats.nba.com/player/1628398/shots-dash/

His 3 ball % is way better when he's wide open
6+ feet wide open: 41.3%
4-6 feet open: 34.5%
2-4 feet tight: 26.7%

Well maybe the stats are different if you include midrange jumpers..?

Yea. I think the 2s were flipped on wide open vs open.

I thought he played pretty well. He got a bit of a raw deal because he couldn't guard Porzingis, but that's a tough cover. Then the Randle/Nance combo was rolling so he didn't get back in. 15 points in 10 minutes is impressive though.

His offense was on point. Luke should have matched him up on KOQ instead. Put him in a little too early when the Kanter-Porky lineup was still on the floor.

"An issue at hand" or "issues with his hands"?

If it was the Knicks' forum then it would have been Kyle "Twinkie Hands" Kuzma.
