The Lakers have played 46 games, and are 10th in defensive efficiency. Hard to overstate how massive an improvement this is. 29, 30, 30 over the three previous seasons. BK

Luke is doing a hell of a job, especially with the anemic roster he’s been given. It’s no wonder the owner, president, and GM back him fully.

Have been impressed by his after time out plays lately.

I think now after 46 games Luke can see on which players he can count until the end of the season.
IMO our rotations should be:

Ball - 34 min / Caruso -14 min
KCP - 22 min/ JC - 26 min
Ingram - 32 min / Hart 16 min
Randle 20 min / Kuzz - 28 min
Slopez 18/ LNJ 20 /Randle - 10 min

I think this is the best rotations possible.
Hart on SF is maybe little bit too dangerous because of his size, but with his strength he can matchup with bench players on SF position.
Brewer is there when its needed. Garbage time Thomas or Zubac with the few minutes.

Also he should run the Lineup Ball-JC-Ingram-Kuz-Randle for at least 10 min. Just to see what will happen. That's our strongest lineup offensively.

I hope this will be the case after AS break if we are fully healthy.

I still have my issues with Luke, but this number alone should grant him a 3rd year.

Amazing effort and improvement by a young team. This season hasn't been perfect but definitely has been refreshing to watch after the matador acts of years past. Hart, Nance Jr, KCP, Lonzo, Caruso, even Julius has his moments. These guys all play hard.

Now if we were only just average at shooting, we'd be right in the playoff mix. Brook has been in a season long slump, surely he's due to have a hot streak especially with a softer schedule coming up.

His line ups were wonky in the past. He has questionable motivational techniques. He's been slow implementing new plays. But there has been improvements. And that can not be overlooked. Hope the players continue to buy in.

We have to cut Zo's minutes when he comes back. Hopefully, we can find a replacement for Ennis.

J.Kidd and Fizdale available. Assuming roster stay same , maybe plus 1 big name FA. Who better (including Luke) going forward? Any thoughts?

There are 2 sides to every coin.

So even though we're 10th defensively, we're the bottom of the barrel 29th offensively. Hence the losing.

I'd rather us be 15th defensively and 15th offensively not have this big jump from defense to offense.

Since we're wishing for things I'd rather be 1st on offense and 1st on defense.

The 2-14 free throw game should show everyone that our team is, at their very best, a below average shooting team. There's only so much lipstick you can put on that pig. How much of that is on Luke?

Six of one, half dozen of the other. Utah is currently 16th in offensive efficiency and 14th in defensive efficiency and they're only 2 games better than us in the standings. It's a negligible improvement at best.

Thanks GT, looks like Luke is adapting/adjusting and it’s always good to hear that they look into what other teams are doing and seeing if that could work with their personnel

Obviously he's just saying nice things cuz they're both coaches. Luke has lost the locker room!
