It has the great advantage of both being still ongoing, and also not.

It's like a really, really long weekend at Bernie's. Been dead for a while and we just keep dragging it around pretending it's still alive.

Just like trickle down economics.

As in, we all know it doesn't work but continue to pretend it does.

The original PDTP was before my time but this one is truly epic.

At least in here the priorities are straight.

Home cooked potatoes and sauce with beef after three days of feasting at the conference.

Going through a steak and baked potato phase. If there's a better marriage of two food groups I haven't found it.

1) start with a wedge of iceberg lettuce, slather in bleu cheese and bacon.

2) take that potato, add butter and cream and mash the crap out of it.

Yum. Sounds almost as delicious as wheat germ and tofu.

Wonderful date night with the fiancee. Skating. Haven't done that in thirty years. Delicious Indian food. Always great. Then a concert by an amazing chamber music group, Russian Renaissance. Look them up if you can.

Of course, our night did not end there, but that's all I'll say.

... Best damn game of Parcheesi I've ever played.

Anything sounds like fun when the date ends in nookie.

That's why I avoid having lunch with colleagues

Offered to give up breads and such to help out the fiancee, as she is struggling with some health issues.

Sigh, this will be tough.

On the plus side, I am organizing a Nepalese dinner outing this Saturday. Who wants to come?

Woah woah, slow down, EB. No keyboardists at this party.

No, but kilts are ok.

That works. I can hide a keyboard under my kilt.
