Including tonight, Brook Lopez has not played in the fourth quarter in 16 of his last 18 games and has not played in 25 fourth quarters this season in games he's played. Lopez has logged a total of just 83 fourth-quarter minutes — including just seven fourth-quarter minutes in the month of January — according to ESPN Stats and Info.

I just wished he stopped jacking up 3s. Easy bail out for the opposing team when he does this. It's not like he's a great 3 point shooter by any stretch.

I wonder how much that's a function of the team's needs and the players around him. They need someone willing and able to take and make threes, and that's certainly not Ingram and Randle.

Luke trying to turn Lopez into Channing Frye. Just give him the ball down low and let him go to work.

“Brook (is) kind of stone-faced to me,” Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson said. “He don’t really show much emotion most of the time when I am around, when I see him. Shoot, who knows?”

That facade appeared to crumble late in the Lakers’ 127-105 loss to the Magic at Amway Center.

When the Lakers fell behind by 28 points in the fourth quarter, Walton signaled for rookie center Thomas Bryant. Lopez, 29, got off the bench to grab a towel, and draped it over his face.

He held his head in his hands, and when he removed the towel, his eyes were red and he massaged them with the towel.

During the next timeout, Lopez left the bench and went back to the locker room. Larry Nance Jr. followed him into the tunnel and returned to the bench before Lopez.

When he returned, Lopez was more composed, and began vigorously clapping for his teammates on the floor.

I hope we can trade brook or give him a buyout so he can join a contender.

if the dude is crying on the bench, and we have no intention of bringing him back...then if you cannot trade him.....yeah, go ahead and release him.

Wants to play well because that's his own standard most of all..also wants to play well for his favorite/home team growing up. We would have a better record if he did give his presumed near 20ppg.. Contract year too. A lot of pressure
Think he's a hard worker as well, and he just can't figure out his 3ball, must be frustrating

Brook is definitely a good guy and I feel for him. For a player like him, at this point of his career, a one year deal might not have been the best thing. But I don't blame him, $22 mil is an offer that he could not refuse.
However I truly believe that things will work out for him; either here or elsewhere.

Yeah like the nets did last year with him getting his presumed 20ppg huh? Brook’s type is being phased out, he’s slow, lumbering, and gets his best shots from the post. That’s not us or our identity. He needs to be off the team ASAP as nice of a guy he is, he’s not a fit here, or in the modern nba tbh.

Honestly, this makes me sad too. I feel bad for the guy. Has to be one of the most depressing LAL stories in a while right?

Awww poor Brook.

It must be so difficult being an NBA player making 22 million sitting on the bench.

Never mind all the people without jobs or money to put food in their stomach.

I really do not understand what Brook wants. He is awful this season and these minutes he is playing its event too much. He need to be happy to be on the floor at all. His place is with Deng eating burgers somewhere.
Cant wait to see him gone. 22 mil of cap space. I like it.

Are people done disagreeing with the fact that Luke has no clue how to utilize Lopez?

He sucks. How many 3 foot chippies has he missed or how many times has he chucked a 3 with 17 or more seconds left that lead to fast break for other teams
