Kuzma needs to work on his counters, I hope Kobe told him to feel the defense with his legs. But he definitely has to get in the gym to work on his core strength(for offense and defensive positioning), dribble game (needs a crossover) and fade away jumper. _________________

Rookie wall. He will be okay. The all star break will do him good. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
It's a combo of Kuzma's confidence being rattled by Luke and rookie fatigue.
I think Kuzma is one of those guys who needs to start. I'd be interested in seeing his Per36 numbers as a starter vs. coming off of the bench. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
They're virtually the same, with maybe a slight advantage to bench but that's probably noise.
FWIW, he shoots 40% from 3 as a starter vs 33% as a bench player, and he plays more mpg as a starter than as a bench. The first fact means he probably has more memorable games as a starter (like that Rockets game) and the second fact probably means he has higher volume stats so his numbers look better due to increased minutes.
Last 20 games, Kuz is shooting 38%FG 32%3PT and 57%FT.
He needs 13.5FGA to score 13.7pts.
I know he's cool and everything but those are just bad numbers. Especially when you consider the fact that he's not really doing anything on the court other than scoring.
Ingram gets destroyed here when he doesn't shoot the ball well, but he's playing injured, rebounds, playmakes, defends, and is 2 years and 2 months younger than Kuz.
I was expecting a more well rounded overall game from a 22 yo rookie.

I see your point, but FYI Kuz is outrebounding BI.

By a thing margin yes, but not during the stretch I am talking about. Kuz was great to start the season, there is no doubt about that.
First 30 games: 17.7pts 6.9rbds 50-40-77 (31.5mpg)
Last 20 games: 13.5pts 4.2rbds 38-32-57 (28.0mpg)

Kuz is just playing tired like all rooks. Transitioning from college schedule to pro schedule is tough for a rookie of any age.
Especially for a team built around fast break points.
So is Hart but he still brings it on offense and defense and on the boards. But to Josh’s benefit, he is a champion player. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
Hart missed time because of an injury during summer league. Kuzma has been playing non-stop.
Exactly. Kuz has played way beyond his total college minutes like Tatum. Hart has played less than half his college minutes. The comparison doesn’t hold up.
