I have a feeling we will be fighting for that last playoff spot and make the playoffs by winning the final game of the season.

43-39

22-8? Holy (bleep).

I'm going to go with 37-45, barring trades & injuries. That is 16-14 to end the season. I've been burned being optimistic before but I do have two reasons:

1) This team has been quite good since January, and it's not been any sort of hot shooting streak. Steady defense + good enough offense is the way to go. Bring in Lonzo to minimize Ennis/Caruso (and to get BI in a more natural role) should only improve that.

2) Teams are going to start tanking. We were going toe-to-toe with the Rockets & Warriors. How is this team going to do against a Suns team that wants to lose?

I think much better than that is optimistic, because this roster still loses winnable games. Clippers, Grizz x2, Magic, etc. Albeit those were with Lonzo out.

It is hard to expect anything from this team. And I am saying that only because of their youth and Walton coaching. To make some final push I think we are too young but fine as long as they show promise of what we can get in the future I am ok. I predicted 34 wins before season started and I will stay like that. so 13-17 until the end. I think is more than possible. Its an 8 wins more than last season. Its an improvement and its good.

I hope we bring Ball back off the bench in that initial game....and take it from there. If he plays well...the team plays well, then start him in game 2.....but we are playing well, and there is a chance it could take a couple games to reincorporate him as a focal point of the team....no need to force it and cost us a game or two. Like I said, if things look ok in that initial game, then return him to the starting lineup immediately....but if it takes a few games, it does not hurt anyone to continue with the Ingram/Hart backcourt to start a few more games if it is working.

If you say the Jazz 9-5 run is legit... then you have to say our 10-4 run is also legit. True they are ahead... but we have Lonzo coming so that might bump us up a couple games.

The one thing that stood out to me is that even in this fantasy, you couldn't allow us to break the losing streak against Portland?

35 was my preseason prediction. Anything over 37 is really an incredible year given the age of the roster and injuries and the 9 game skid.

e...if they come even close to touching 40 wins then I think it's safe to say this team has arrived early and Jules will be one of our big signings in the offseason.

I'm going to dream with you for a second and say we close out the year 32-12...and cue the 'Sometimes I dream...that he is me..." music in the background.

My goal for the whole season was more than 27 wins. All I ask of this team every year is to win more than the last which is a fair target for a young developing squad. So obviously failing an absolutely catastrophic ending to the year we're going to beat that...

If the team stays exactly as is I'm gonna re-evaluate and say that we will get 36 wins. I think Lonzo comes back strong when he does come back and I think that Randle will be really balling out to close the year cause it's a contract year. BI seemed to improve post ASG plus our schedule is actually quite kind compared to the first half.

Don't forget we have a ton of games against the likes of Dallas, Sacramento, Atlanta etc who will be actively tanking before long. If we take care of business against them I can see us getting maybe even to 40 wins if absolutely everything goes right, we surprise a few good teams and handle the teams we're supposed to handle. Also not to wish it on the man or anything but Anthony Davis has never been the sturdiest of players and if he goes down injured that team is pure ass.

I think that's where I was, don't remember if I got sucked into the
Lonzo will instantly make us a winner mentality, but I doubt it.

Were at a .40 winning %.
If that trend continues we should go 18-12 over the next 30, making it 39-43 for the year.

Id be satisfied if they finish with 33-37 wins, and I think its very do-able

35 wins was my hope at the start of the season and I'm glad it's still a reasonable target. Would like to see guys push to bring that conference record up a bit, while holding on to the Eastern record we have so far. No better place to start than by beating the Suns.

Don't think anyone below OKC is a team we can't beat, but those 6-10 spots will all be tough games. Get Ball back and think we'll be fine. Bar a serious set of injuries I think we'll get 30 regardless.

Just got to hope Magic doesn't sell the foundation while we build the walls...

14-16. 35 wins is a good season for this team, for me, anything else would be gravy. I'm expecting us to pull off a couple of upsets, and lose a few winnable games. Hope we don't lose to Suns tonight after a good showing against OKC...

Will be interesting to see if Utah starts tanking, and how early SA and Minn can rest players. Hopefully they solidify themselves into the 3/4 slots.

I expect Houston to rest players vs us, and Clippers most likely, too, if they're out of the playoff hunt.

Worth noting if we go 9-21 we still hit 30 wins. Not too bad considering how many people weren't expecting us to hit 30 wins about a month ago, and considering how long Lonzo has been out, and Ingram being a bit hobbled even when he's been playing lately.

If we run out the same team after the trade deadline, I somehow calculated a record of 18-12!

That is based on losing the games that we should lose to much better teams and remaining competitive to all of the low to middling teams. Based on that, I think 15-15 is very doable the rest of the way and would be a fantastic end to the season!
