He's already got quite a lot of elements to his game at such a young age, yet he's still somewhat unmolded clay with how physically undeveloped he still is. There's still at least one bambi on ice moment every game.

I can't see BI failing in that he's got a high floor long as he stays healthy, he's got the work ethic, the mentality, the length and all round game to be a good player even if he never gains another pound.

Now you think of his upside and what happens if he puts on some muscle and a stronger base, and extends his range out to the 3 point line. That's a scary thought for the rest of the league.

There's very few players in the league I'd trade BI for.

Awesome game by BI. But I do have a question.

Why do you guys think BI hasn’t exploded yet? What I mean by that is, go absolutely bonkers. A 20 pt quarter. A 35 pt game. Take and make 5 shots in a row, that kind of thing.

To me it feels like he is really close. But curious as to your thoughts on why we haven’t seen that Kuzma vs Celtics or Ice in my veins moment yet.

Hard to "go off" without shooting many 3's. I think the best version of him is as a 5-tool guy rather than someone who gets white hot.

True. Perhaps that will be Ingram's mark. A true jack of all trades, master of none.

that may be.
but he has not even finished his second year.
he will improve in the different aspects of the game.
may be the jump in year 3 would not be as big.
or may be it will be bigger as his body mostly fills out.

before we got these high picks, we knew it will take a few years for them to become good players.
halfway into their development, we want the finished product or proof that we will get the finished product.
patience is needed.

He went off for 32 vs the Warriors this season. Does that count, because I was impressed, as well as the national media.

We saw what happened earlier when they wanted him to play that Kobe role. Let's not revisit that until he's ready, if ever...

He's 20.

A baby. Like the progress I'm seeing.

Next step for Ingram, putting together 2 strong halves. He seems to have a lot of games where he'd go for 18 points in a half and disappear for the rest of the game. Not sure whether it's a rhythm or stamina thing, but put that together and he'd be having a lot of 30 point games.

Running Ingram at point might be the best coaching decision Luke has made since coming here.
I fully expect Ingram's playmaking to transfer over when he returns to the wing when Lonzo is healthy.

Making a Lonzo/PG13/BI trio look even better if BI can play like this.

Yeah, it started in preseason last year. I was at the game where it happened vs GSW and I went nuts. Told my wife OMG they're trying to make Ingram a point forward! She was like whatever. Haha.

Yup, I could see BI manning the 2 spot as a KCP replacement if PG wants to come and play the 3 with us.

Flip that.

Both guys are wings, but PG13.1 is way better at chasing guys off screens defensively and spotting up behind the arc in C&S situations.

Yup. See how he defended Klay last night.

Man, I would so love to have PG on this team. His 1 on 1 defense is amazing. It also means he won't be guarding BI

Improvements across the board in only 4 more minutes a game. If he makes another jump like this next season we are talking about a great player. I would like to see him get better fundamentally on defense. Maybe get his block/steals to above 1. Over all I'm happy with him and remind myself he's only 20 years old still.

Nice improvements. Think that undersells his defensive improvement too.

Listening to Access Sportsnet, Luke's going to play BI at PG. He has the height and ball handling skills. He's a good and willing passer. I like the move. He's going to be sharing time or playing with IT until Lonzo's ready to play.

Luke's a mystery. Some moves make a lot of sense, some none (to me). I hold for Luke, I'm just another armchair coach. The team is starting to get it together. 6 games out of the 8th spot. It's a long shot but I'm still not giving up.

I just love his decision making. I don't feel nervous when he's got the ball in his hands. 6 assists, 1 TO tonight. His assist:TO ratio has been fantastic at point forward. In 4 games, he's averaged 6.5 assists and 2.0 TO's. For a 20 year old wing, that's incredible.

He isn't the prototypical point guard, but he has been really, really good. It's like his vision and passing went to a completely different level.
