not sure if he has been discussed yet, but if Texas Tech Freshman Zhaire Smith declares for the draft, he would likely be my #2 option for the Cleveland pick behind Jevon Carter. I do not think anyone expected Z. Smith to be a "one and done" player, but it becomes more likely with each game he plays. The kid is a 6'5" athletic and skilled stud shooting guard. If you are unaware of him....you owe it to yourself to check him out.

He might show up next time they update their rankings.

But they had an absolutely glowing article about him from last week: Link

So great to have a pick again. We need one more miracle from Jesse and the boys.

Just checked him... he is realllly impressive , my fav at our range. His twitch and potential shooting, and length.. wooh..
He kind of reminds me of rookie Shumpert for the Knicks , but with shooting to boot.. and that can't be understated because he's making off the dribble NBA range 3s too. He's a firecracker with his speed/quicks, and can actually be a firecracker with the ball w/ his borderline abv average handle for a SG.
6'10 wingspan.
Josh Hart is turning me into a sucker for energy/hustle SGs who have skills to boot.

if we're going for the high risk high reward play anfernee simons is a decent gamble. kid's got bounce, handle, and a nice shooting stroke.

Agreed. He has a track record of hitting over 40% from three at big events and has some initiator/combo guard upside.

I don't think the FO will want to draft an Ingram-skinny, late 1st project..

I don't know whether Shamet will be a Caruso type fringe archetype...or a good amount better than that.. I really don't love his low arc shot from NBA range.. Cauruso is a 40% guy in the Gleague fwiw.
At least Lonnie Walker can fall back on elite twitch, good energy, prototype defensive frame... on top of the offensive skills
Shamet's athleticism is very average.. skinny.. he better be able to shoot 40% at the next level, and I don't like betting on that. Not with a flat shot. FT% is great but it's flat as hell from range

I see my dude Allonzo Trier is being largely ignored in mock drafts. If we could get him with the Denver pick I'd be ecstatic.

Let's see what he's got.

we got no shot at him so i avoid watching him so my heart doesnt break if we get screwed by NBA and somehow get #1 pick

Not impressed yet...

This was the only game I've seen him in but he looked soft to me. UCLA's forwards were like 5 inches shorter and rejected 3 of his shots. Other than being huge, I saw nothing great about him. Of course it was just 1 game.

I like him or Shamet

A guard/wing who can shoot 3s at a good rate please

My ideal scenario would be Aaron Holiday but I don’t see that happening

Would love Trier tho

Shake or Shamet plus Trier would be fantastic

Juuuuuuuust started to watch some mid-late 1st round prospects last night.

I really like Shake Milton and Anfernee Simons but it's early. I think Shake is my favorite out of who may be available

What are the best mock drafts to follow besides DraftExpress/ESPN and who are the best Twitter's to follow to stay on top of prospects?

Time to plug in...

Hoping the Lakers acquire a guard with that pick, be it by exercising it in the draft or via a trade. A useful player 6'5" or smaller, we are lacking depth in a two-way guard now. I don't see much coming out of Ennis or Payton, and IT is someone whose game is a questionable fit on court next to Lonzo. IT and Payton are like opposites; one can shoot and can't defend anyone, the other defends and can't shoot from 6' out - dump 'em both ASAP.

Anyone like UCLA's Aaron Holiday for the Lakers, a decent all-around guy coming out this Summer ? I do. Hey, I think he played with Lonzo a year back too.
