I just love his decision making. I don't feel nervous when he's got the ball in his hands. 6 assists, 1 TO tonight. His assist:TO ratio has been fantastic at point forward. In 4 games, he's averaged 6.5 assists and 2.0 TO's. For a 20 year old wing, that's incredible.

This is why I said a few weeks ago that he reminded me of Pippen.. and some of you went nuts lol.. Not saying he'll ever be on that level.. not saying he wont.. Just saying his game reminds me of Pippen when he's being a facilitator.

just looking at the stats, Ingram is ahead of 23 year old, second year Pippen as a passer. He's also several years ahead of guys like Batum/Durant, who also became excellent wing facilitators in their primes.

His three pointer looks much more fluid. Could the shooting coach be paying off?

Pippen didn't enter the league until age 22. Here is a per 36 minute comparison of Ingram now and Pippen in his rookie year:

Ingram (Age 20): 16.9 PPG (52.1% TS), 5.8 RPG, 3.9 APG, 0.8 STL, 0.8 BLK
Pippen (Age 22): 13.6 PPG (48.9% TS), 6.5 RPG, 3.7 APG, 2.0 SPG, 1.1 BPG

Not really a comparison defensively, yet... offensively, Ingram is clearly on par (and maybe ahead as a scorer) despite being two years younger.

Not to mention he's still underdeveloped physically..

He's going to get faster and more explosive..

His shooting will continue to improve..

His passing and defense will also continue to improve..

I just don't see the Pippen comparison, but it does look like BI is going to continue to improve. Barring injury, I think he could be an all-star in a couple years.

Getting to the line for free throws got Mamba and MJ into early shooting rhythm. Think that aggressiveness in the first got him on a good beat. Then JR got the low position and would just out man his defender. It’s meshes well in the half court sets. Then you got track stars to run the break. Saw a good number of awesome reads by the Capt. Great game, BI!

Pippen was able to manage the team while on the floor.. he could also be effective when he wasn't the primary ball handler. Excellent finisher, and on ball defender.

He just reminds me of Pippen in the way that he manages the team when asked.. There may be better comparables even though I don't like comparables.

I don't know if he will ever be a good defender with how slow he is starting/stopping and changing directions. He is really bad at getting around screens. We were lucky it was Felton using those screens.

It's all good! Not like our opinions on it matter anyway.

This thread has taken a good turn lately, hasn't it?

Improvements across the board in only 4 more minutes a game. If he makes another jump like this next season we are talking about a great player. I would like to see him get better fundamentally on defense. Maybe get his block/steals to above 1. Over all I'm happy with him and remind myself he's only 20 years old still.

Nice improvements. Think that undersells his defensive improvement too.

Remember people complaining about Magic putting too much pressure on BI for saying he should average 15-20 points a game?

It was twenty, not 15-20

I had a feeling you were coming with that one lol

You have to think Magic is happy with the way he's playing regardless of not reaching 20ppg. Be a shame if he wasn't.

Yeah, I’m in a good mood tonight. And yes, Magic should be pleased, and it’s good to see him playing less ball dominant ball too.
