This guy was just dumped here for garbage and yet he was going to get a video tribute on the same night as a Celtics legend?
Pretty weird gesture by Ainge, and to want to do it on Pierce's night. Talk about not having your thinking cap on. I think Ainge truly feels guilty for the trade because what IT did for them. I think wanting to do a tribute for IT was equally for Ainge as it was meant for IT.

And all this drama turned out to be unnecessary because Isaiah was traded to us.
I wonder if they'll air his tribute the next time the Lakers are in Boston. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Where did you watch the ceremony? It didn't look like ESPN was airing it, so I just turned the television off. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

the Lakers really traded 2 young talented players to the Cavs to help them blow out the Celtics and ruin Paul Pierce's jersey retirement ceremony 💀
Shaq and Kobe had a pretty big beef with each other during their playing days, yet they ended up mending fences and showing support for each other when they retired. They didn't have to show up to each others retirement ceremonies yet they did because they realized how special they were to each other professionally. So its kinda funny to see Ray Allen and the rest of the 2008 Celtics team not get along with each other.

Bucks/Sonics Ray Allen always seemed like such a class act, but as soon as he got to Boston, it became apparent that he was actually a douche. Not sure if he was always secretly (or not-so-secretly) that way or if something about the Boston culture made him like that. Rondo/KG/Pierce/Glen Davis/Perkins/Scalabrini were all douchebags too. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Nah, he was a douche as a Bucks/Sonics as well. He and Kobe had beef back then as well. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

Shaq and Kobe had a real deal brotherhood. It was good, it was bad, it was ugly. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... but it was real. _________________ So glad we gave you your flowers while you were here, Kobe.

Don't forget Doc Rivers and Danny (bleep) Ainge.
Celtics, a franchise of whiners and douchebags.
Ray Allen pays tribute to Paul Pierce on Instagram
Ray Allen wasn’t at Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement last weekend. It was noticed. It fired up the rumor/speculation machine about the relationship between the two (or Allen and Pierce and Kevin Garnett) and how that Celtics era came to an end.
Tuesday, Ray Allen went on Instagram with a long post talking about how Pierce “will always be a Celtic” and playing down any rift in their relationship.
I’d like to say that ends all the speculation and debate, but we know better. At least it quiets down for now.
