I may not be a fan of the 2 max plan as the direction of the Lakers but that does not take away from the quality of the trade. FO pulled off a coup.

Having financial flexibility will be huge next year. Or in future years. In a variety of ways of their choosing. Great trade on its merits.

I liked Clarkson and Nance too but for the flexibility the Lakers now have it was masterful. Ultimately just how great a trade it is will be determined by how they use it and how competitive it makes the Lakers.

Win a Championship and it was genius. Never getting past the second round for a few seasons and it may viewed differently.

Horrific trade where we got absolutely nothing in return for the loss of JC and Nance. People are all about the cap space but last time I checked we cannot lure anyone to this team. So saying we get to max player in (bleep) 2019 or 2020....it is a pipe dream.

The reality is that you need to have talent first and we had a ton of talent on this team prior to the trade. If I were a laker I would feel zero (bleep) confidence as we just blew up what we had going for (bleep) players in return.

Do we need a draft pick? No.
We have several invested picks already so we took someone worth a first rounder in JC and basically have to hope we can pick that well again. Nance is a guy you bring off the bench who electrifies the floor. We don't have that now.

I (bleep) hate this trade and we are going to be screwed for another 2-3 years because of it.
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

Lol people act like we are screwed if we don't get two max. You can get incredibly creative with 45mil+ and draft picks as many teams have shown in the past, so we are in great shape no matter what.

Hypothetical question:
If the trade on the table had included Ingram instead of Nance, for the Nets' 1st (currently #8) instead of the Cavs' 1st (#25), who says no?

Deng
Ingram

for

Thomas
Frye
Nets' 1st

Just curious.

I still say no, BI is a stud

Was it Isaiah or his agent that said he wasn't coming off the bench?
