Predictably, Lonzo ruled out for the remainder of this road trip.
Per Trudell
So, Lonzo won’t play in Friday’s game in Brooklyn. And since Sunday’s game is early, there’s no full practice on Saturday for Ball to test the knee. As such, he won’t play at OKC. “Could” return next week at home pending progress over the weekend and ability to practice.

This recovery date seeminlgy gets pushed out every other day -- does the medical/training staff have any idea what's really going on here? |

Yeah agreed. I don’t think they’ve handled the PR element of his injury very well. I mean unless they honestly didn’t know they should have just said that it was an MCL from the jump and put him on indefinite status. I guess it’s hard in the Twitter age to control/contain the rumor mill. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

If he doesn't play before the break does he play in the all star rising star game? |

1/4/18 vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Brandon - Groin - gametime decision (first I’m hearing of this will keep tabs on what’s what)
Lonzo - MCL - estimated 2/6 return
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/injuries
None of the sports Twitter’s were saying anything except that the players were blasting “going back to Cali“ during practice.
Update: Brandon will start
Per Trudell
Brandon Ingram (sore groin) will start today. Same line up as last game where he played a lot of PG. He’s joined by Josh Hart, KCP, Julius Randle and Brook Lopez.

Yeah that’s a good question I mean he’s now in his third week when he was supposed to be back from the original estimate so I’m hoping he’s back on the floor this week. |

Don't expect Lonzo back before the all-star break or in the Rising Stars game or whatever it's called. It's pretty obvious they are stalling until the break so they can get those extra days off for Lonzo. Especially since they've actually played decent in a few games this stretch without him. |

More Lonzo filler
Lonzo Ball has yet to do the full-speed non-contact drills necessary to then participate in a practice. But Luke Walton said Ball got more "aggressive" on Monday with his work. espn.com/espn/now?nowId…
https://twitter.com/notoriousohm/status/960955906123952128
Luke Walton was asked whether Lonzo Ball feels ready to ramp up his activity. “You’ve got to ask him,” Walton said.
Beat writers would love the opportunity. Lonzo hasn’t spoken to media since Jan. 15, two days after suffering the injury when he was still listed as questionable.

2/6/18 vs. Phoenix Suns
Ball officially out per Trudell
Lonzo Ball won’t play tonight with that sore knee. Here he is going through a workout with asst. coach Miles Simon hours before the game as he continues to test how the knee responds.

I don't put other teams injuries in this thread, we can put that in the game thread. But wow. I semi paid attention to their game against GSW, wonder when all this happened... |

The Daily Lonzo
Per Ohm
Lonzo Ball said he will test his knee and lateral movement today. His return date remains uncertain as he says he couldn’t run sprints or jump before today’s workout espn.com/nba/story/_/id…
https://twitter.com/notoriousohm/status/961393295153704960
This tweet was around 4:30. So of course I looked for the follow up tweet saying that he tested his knee and there is no follow up as yet. |

... and with the news of it IT’s acquisition, Lonzo is magically starting to feel better… (j/k)
Per Ohm
Lonzo Ball did more than he's done yesterday and his sprained MCL was feeling good today. Luke Walton said Ball will come in early on Friday and get treatment and some work before seeing if the point guard is well enough to practice. espn.com/espn/now?nowId…

The Daily Lonzo:
Per Trudell
Lonzo Ball has progressed to doing drills at full speed and hasn’t had any set backs. Next step is to do drills with some contact from asst. coach Miles Simon. After that, practice w/rest of team.
