Besides gluing his ass to the bench. He is the reason why the Lakers (and probably the Cavs) have defensive breakdowns.
Sure his offense is nice, but doesn't matter when he gives up way more on the defensive end.
I don't think I've ever hated a Lakers player this much ever (mostly because of his arrogance and the way he carries himself) and he's barely been here. |

a good team is always going to find him and exploit the mismatch. there's a reason the average height in the league is probably 6'6 or so. |

For starters, don't put him on wing players...
But ya, it's rough. Biggest thing to me was his inability to rotate to tag bigs. This is already difficult for guards, but he's just so tiny.

Have to adjust your entire D to support him. All of. our switching D isn't going to work. Gotta be a lot of players cheating to help and quick rotations on switches. That's how Boston did it last year. |

The Celtics seemingly did a pretty good job at it. |

he's not worth all that effort. he's not gonna be on the squad next year. rather run caruso out there for 15 minutes than give IT 30. |

Could be a good eventual 6th man type for a team. Quick offense a la Lou. He doesn't want that now but eventually he may realize that's the ideal role. Might as well tinker with different lineups while he's out there on the squad. Doubt a team is overpaying for him this summer. |

The Celtics did hide his defense, but the Lakes aren't the Celtics. And, this version of IT is a much downgraded version from the IT of yore. Luke and team are going to have a lot of sleepless night, poring over film, trying to come up with an answer to your question.
Limit his minutes?

It ain't all on IT tonight. The team defense sucked for 17 minutes when IT was sitting on the bench! |

he's not worth it. your defense suffers, and you aren't able to run out and get easy buckets because you don't get stops/rebounds.
he's always going to get targeted. |

Depends on how much he gets paid and how many mins he's given. Think in limited mins off the bench he'd be fine. |
