Have they lifted the minutes restriction? Seems like he's starting to play more.
its hard to tell because the last two games its been him leading the comebacks so they might have just left him in because he earned the chance to finish

What was the story with DLo tonight? I checked in during the first quarter and he was like 1 of 5 with 3 turnovers. It's good to see that he didn't have any turnovers for the rest of the game. Did he just get hot late in the game?
Also there's a thread on /r/nba about Okafor's defense and Dlo low key was fighting really hard. The part of me from last year that was invested in him playing defense was very proud. Lol
The Nets are on a 6-game losing streak. They're -70 in Jahlil Okafor's 77 minutes during this streak. They're +10 in the minutes he's not on the court.

Oakafor seems like a nice kid, but he needs a lot of work. Much more than I imagined. Forget the lottery, he looks like a second round project. He can score and that seems about the extent of his skill set.

DeMarre Carroll on D’Angelo Russell: ‘I let him know he’ll be alright.
Quote:
“We talk about the whole thing, coming back from a knee surgery. I’ve been through it in Toronto,” Carroll said. “There’s going to be so many negatives on the way you play being that you’re coming back from a knee (injury).
“A lot of people don’t see all the work that you’re putting in, so when you get out there and you’re not performing like you was before, people start doubting and jumping off the bandwagon.”
“He’s just got to keep trying to improve and get back to D’Angelo’s type of basketball, and it doesn’t happen overnight. You see, for me it took two years, and I’m back to playing the ball I’m out to play. He’s just got to keep his confidence and keep growing.”
“He’s young so I know he gets frustrated,” Carroll said. “But I’m here to support him and let him know he’ll be alright.”

I've never seen anything like this. The minute sample size is small, but it's suspicious that Russell's post-injury stats are very similar to his pre-injury stats (down to the way-too-high turnovers) without Okafor. And his stats with Okafor are just horrendous.
I think part of this is "luck" in the sense that his 3FG% shouldn't go from 0-11 with Okafor to 14-37 without him. Still, this is unbelievable.

B-but if he gets a fresh start in the right system...
I know the numbers are reduced to the a handful of stans but the ship has sailed. Greg Monroe 2.0. Zero chance he gets a big contract. _________________ KOBE

He wishes he could be Monroe 2.0, at this point. Dude might not be in the league next season.
