I'm trying to understand what was going on in his head when he was swiping and reaching on AD to pick up his third foul.. It's like he doesn't have a brain at times.. I guess it's a part of being a young player.
he was also sloppy with the turnovers tonight. It definitely wasn't one of his best games, but at least he scored the ball relatively efficiently. I want to see more than 1 three point attempt as well.

Yep sloppy as well.. dribbled right into AD and lost the ball, AD drove and dunked.. I'll chalk it all up as growing pains.. He really needs better situation awareness/game awareness..

It is encouraging that this is what a soso/mediocre game looks like from him..

I had to turn it off after the 1st quarter. Day was too stressful otherwise. He missed a lot of those 10-12 footers... you'd think they would discourage shooting so many of those.

On the bright side, if this is a poorer game, that is a big improvement from earlier this year. If he keeps improving at this rate, he is going to be a great offensive player. Hope the defense improves too.

I'm pretty sure Luke said they want him taking those shots or something to that effect.

Not just this game. He annoys me with his dumb fouls consistently. Nearly every time he's guarding someone, I'm screaming for him to keep his hands up.

Imo, there's some guys you watch and they make it look easy. BI isn't one of those guys.

Those guys either are good shooters or great athletes.. Ingram could make it look easy in 3 years...

I really can't explain it.. he starts swiping and reaching like he's intentionally trying to get a foul called against him.. *shrugs* I really don't get it.. Maybe since he isn't strong enough to hold his ground he resorts to reaching to get a steal out of desperation.

It pisses me off cause he's needed out there, and he's fouling guys unnecessarily.

I'm rooting for him. I think he has talent but I don't see superstar and that's ok. He's going to be really good.

I just don't like that Luke is going away from what was working so well during the winning streak. We're going back to a steady dose of BI ISOs and PnRs and it looks just as ugly as it did before.

In the last 6 quarters...

1 3PA
10 mid range jumpers

Makes me want to cry after he was shooting it so damn well. It's not even that he's passing up open 3s, we're just not attempting to get him those looks anymore!

His free throw stroke looks great.

BI lacks offensive 1 on 1 moves. He's very predictable and has a difficult time breaking down the defender imo.

Can't teach that length though.

I know he had 17/5/4, but I thought this was a particularly rough game for him on both ends of the floor.

Well yea.. It wasn't a good game at all.. which is why I said these kind of "bleh" games from him are a hell of a lot better than the bad games he had at the beginning of the season.

But last year we'd see him go like 2-7 with 4pts in games like this. It's encouraging to see him staying engaged.

I think Luke putting the ball in IT's hands late has screwed up BI's rhythm a bit.

Thing is you predicted this would happen.. @GT
