Not sure what to expect. They squashed their beef years ago and have been nothing but complimentary of each other since.

Shaq is a cool dude because he will mend fences even if he has to lie. LOL! He'll down-play what went on by saying stuff like it was marketing, mental games, etc. But the truth is they couldn't stand each other.

Yeah it’s unfortunate Shaq had to act like a little baby back in 04. Couldn’t accept the fact he was declining and it was time for the Lakers to be Kobe’s team. Maybe could’ve won even more rings.

Interesting if you are watching. Shaq admits that after the first championship he had accomplished his one goal and he mentally checked out. He was mad about the “Dynasty” talk and intentionally did not get in shape or practice during the offseason because he knew that Kobe was working so hard and would carry him. Kobe said that’s what made him mad.

Truly the reason we didn’t win 5-6 championships in a row was Shaq’s work ethic, imagine if Shaq had Kobe’s drive and passion...he would have been the GOAT. Kind of a shame actually...

Which is why it wouldn’t work.

Kobe doesn’t get along with players that don’t match his intensity.

Exactly. This is what I saw with my own eyes during that time.

And was a bit part of the reason why I never left Kobe’s side and will always defend him to this day.

Yea. And Kobe said Shaq had to go in Graham Bensinger interview after Shaq had claimed that Kobe can't win without him.

Interesting comments about the Detroit series from Kobe. They both feel they should have won that, even with the injuries. I was always disappointed they didn’t bring the series back to LA.

I felt like the only reason why they lost that series was because Karl got hurt..

It’s also why the team was done winning titles after 2004. People ask what would have happened if they stayed together, but the Shaq from 2000-2002 didn’t exist anymore.
