Lonzo Ball has progressed to doing drills at full speed and hasn’t had any set backs. Next step is to do drills with some contact from asst. coach Miles Simon. After that, practice w/rest of team.

GLeague Report
Gary Payton II and Thomas Bryant both played for the Southbay Lakers last night. Bryant apparently did particularly well . No word yet on whether they’ve been recalled for the Lakers game tonight. Likewise I’m not seeing whether or not CaruGOAT is with us for tonight. (Caruso does not have many games left that he can be with us. And with the addition of Isaiah his situation is probably changed now so we shall see…)

The Daily Lonzo
So now pretty much everyone is reporting that he’s expecting to play in the very first game back after the ASG

And he’s been officially replaced in the Rising Stars game
Per Trudell
The NBA announced that De’Aaron Fox will replace Lonzo Ball (knee) in Friday’s Rising Stars game. Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma will play for the U.S. team, though they’ll be coming off a B2B at New Orleans (tonight) and at Minnesota (Thursday).

And we're back from All Star weekend. I'm sure by now folks have heard that in addition to expecting a baby any moment, Channing Frye had an appendectomy over ASB. He's out until at least the 24th so no Dallas for him.
Lonzo is expected to be back for Friday's game but no confirmation as yet. Our own GT/LFR reported
The next Lakers practice isn't until Thursday. Luke's giving the guys a good deal of time off, although I'm sure many of them will be at the facility on their own.

That's disappointing. I know a few of the guys like BI are banged up but this team only has around seven more weeks left in their season. We often hear the complaints from coaches around the NBA about the lack of practice time during the season. The Lakers didn't have to travel for All-Star weekend and Kuz and BI were done after Friday. The team could've gotten at least 2 or 3 good practices in over this long break.
I thought they would use the time off to work on their execution and get the new guys acclimated. Lord knows the team looked pretty sloppy heading into the break. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

I tend to agree. I mean I guess they can do something the day-of. But with all the moving parts we have going, one practice seems insufficient.

Think this is the first time I’ve seen Lonzo Ball without a sleeve on his left knee since before he injured it. He’s not playing today, but getting some pregame work in.

The Daily Lonzo
Per Trudell
Lonzo Ball will still have a minutes restriction tonight, but it will go up from last game (he played 17:23 vs. DAL). Walton was coy about whether Ball will come off the bench again and how much the minutes restriction has been upped. We’ll see at 4:30 Pacific on @SpectrumSN.

Dammit all to hell! We’ll keep tabs on this situation
Per Trudell
After getting a stop, LAL called time out to get Brandon Ingram to the locker room with head athletic trainer Marco Nunez. He took a hit from Winslow on the previous offensive possession.
Per Trudell on TV – Brandon out for the remainder of the Miami Heat game with “left groin tightness”. Will continue to see if he’s available for San Antonio.

Hells Bells
Per Trudell
Ingram injury update: left hip flexor strain. He’s questionable for Saturday’s game at San Antonio. LAL are already short on the wing, so we’ll see how Ingram feels tomorrow.
