I find it amazing that some here were rooting for Denver tonight to improve our Cleveland pick this year instead of improving our playoff chances. In a month a lot of them will be wishing they had that game back when the Lakers are one game out of the playoffs.

all depend on the final outcome. if some cavs losses will finally lead to a 20th pick then we ll have to take it ,as long as we keep winning, so our pick to fila goes something like 11-13

The Spurs, OKC, and Utah are our targets to the 8th seed. NO, Portland, Denver, and Clippers have favorable schedules. People look at OKC and Spurs as lock for the playoffs but neither is playing that well.

This month has a tough schedule. I think we'll know the answer when April rolls around. But if we continue this strong showing till year's end, I'll be satisfied playoffs or no.

Clippers schedule looks pretty hard to me, Its ranked as 5th hardest in the west.

3/4 Nets
3/6 Pelicans
3/9 Cavs
3/10 Magic
3/13 @Bulls
3/15 @Rockets
3/16 @Thunder
3/18 Trail Blazers
3/20 @ Wolves
3/21 @ Bucks
3/23 @ Pacers
3/25 @ Raptors
3/27 Bucks
3/28 @ Suns
3/30 @ Trail Blazers
4/1 Pacers
4/3 Spurs
4/5 @ Jazz
4/7 Nuggets
4/9 Pelicans
4/11 Lakers

Only 3 non playoff teams in their last 16 and one is the Lakers and another is Utah who has been playing just as good if not better than the lakers.
--------------
Portland has the 4th hardest schedule in the West but they've proven they can beat good teams so its unlikely the Lakers pass them.

3/5 @ Lakers
3/6 Knicks
3/9 Warriors
3/12 Heat
3/15 Cavs
3/17 Pistons
3/18 @ Clippers
3/20 Rockets
3/23 Celtics
3/25 @ Thunder
3/27 @ Pelicans
3/28 @ Grizzlies
3/30 Clippers
4/1 Grizzlies
4/3 @ Mavericks
4/5 @ Rockets
4/7 @ Spurs
4/9 @ Nuggets
4/11 Jazz

I think Minnesota has a brutal schedule as well and are vulnerable without Butler even though I heard Wiggins is doing better.

With Butler out Minnesota has a real shot at losing their next 5 games, leaving them pretty close to the Lakers as long as the lakers keep winning. Wolves Have the least number of games left and still face 4 tanking teams so even with Lakers losing only 4 games the rest of the way, I got them ending up tied with the Wolves for the 7th spot in the West, which of course puts the Lakers in.

Yeah, I stopped counting games and making projections because the last time I did we went on an atrocious losing spell (December, so expected, but we even did worse than I thought we would)

I'm superstitious so I'm not doing that again this year, but thanks for the analysis.

With how the teams at the bottom of the West have been playing, the Lakers are gonna have to get to at least 43 wins to make the playoffs. That would be a 15-5 record the rest of the way. That’s a long shot and even then it’s no guarantee it’s enough wins but they do have a shot. 15-5 isn’t impossible.

I'm happy we're playing better. Honestly, I think we have zero shot at the playoffs, I just want at least a .500 season which will give the max dudes some things to think about and give us options.

They need a pretty long win streak to have even a long shot. It’s only because we are facing teams ahead of us that we have a chance.

The schedule sets up perfect to make a dent in the standings, but it will be extremely difficult to win enough of these games to get in. If Ingram doesn’t return and play well, I’d say the only way it happens is if IT returns to 29PPG and/or Kuzma goes on a Magical run to close the year. 🤞

Lakers need to put this loss behind them quickly and remember what the Magic did to them in orlando. They don't have to play perfect the rest of the way, still have between 3 and 5 loses to make the playoffs. I had this game as a win so they need to win one back that was probably gonna be a loss; @ Denver, @ New Orleans or @ Warriors. A little harder now, but still possible.

12-7 or better would be nice. Get to 40 wins.

What a terrible game to lose yesterday. Clippers (likely), Nuggets, and Thunder all go down today. We would've made up a game
