Not even acknowledging them is the ultimate dis. They are irrelevant to him.

We're used to alpha dogs like Magic and Kobe. He can still be very good without it, but the highest levels of this game are reserved for alphas.

It's fascinating to see him have these kind of good bad games where he can't hit his threes, he makes some stupid rookie TOs, but his motor still gets him to a respectable statline and overall performance.

I think it bodes well long-term.

What was his game against the Spurs if not an alpha game?

If he consistently takes games over like that with regularity throughout his career, he'll make me a believer. We'll have to wait and see.

He got jobbed on a few % busters chucking at the buzzer from distance.

I'm hoping Zo can learn to penetrate from IT. While Zo makes the right reads 90% of the time, he still doesn't penetrate well or chooses not to, a skill that defines CP3 and Nash. I don't mean he needs to every play, as I think his style of giving it up early promotes ball movement, but sometimes that skill is necessary. IT is great at it (though he uses it more to score than to facilitate), though he hasn't been able to finish since he came back from injury.

Yeah but that timid brick he threw up there before his last attempt was the game breaker. He did not want to shoot that, he had no confidence what so ever.

Nah, he just missed it. You're reading too much into it.

Uh ok, he had the shot the first time, passed it, got the ball right back to take the same shot lol. He was shooting it like crap from there, it was a good thing he didnt want to shoot it. But our offense was not moving.

I do like that he went full court with like 38 seconds left down 5 even though he got blocked

Showed great situational awareness.

I don’t like watching Skip and Shannon when they talk about Lonzo. Skip loves Lonzo a bit too much, he has some amazing moments and some really bad ones...he’s not there yet, not even close. Shannon I THINK has to be intentionally just being difficult, because nobody could hate that much on lonzo unless they were either joking, ingorant or just had an agenda.

Shannon likes to pull out the Rubio comparison. Very lazy on his part. If he actually watched the games he would see that Zo's motor and athleticism is superior to Rubio. While Rubio plays decent defense, Zo looks like he will be an elite defender.

Zo shot a midrange, a floater, he finished someone's miss... almost got that goaltending... it wasn't just threes, he's beginning to expand his repetoire and that made the rest of this painful game worth it. A few of those threes fall and it's a career game for him.
