I don’t think that he is the best player now. Defense does matter. |
True. Offense as well. He hasn’t been able to turn the corner on guys, get to the cup anywhere close to how he could before his hip injury. |

Man, IT never looks for Kuz. He’s trying to dominate the usage on the second unit and he’s doing a horrible job. He needs to move the ball more and stop trying to do it himself. Can’t stand him sometimes. |

I wanted to watch more games...but, there is an issue w/isiah and Kuz. Isiah was a problem in cleveland. I’m misspelling his name on purpose - he’s a cancer. |

There is definitely a problem. IT forces all of his passes inside the paint with about 50% of success, and some of the times that it does succeed, we get lucky with the loose ball. All while Kuzma most of the time is left open, in IT’s direction.
IT also never seems to pass back to Lonzo either at any point in a offensive possession unless IT is forced to, and it’s usually with 4 or so seconds left in the shot clock.

I saw Kuz say something to IT but it looked like a missed coverage that led to a basket. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I’m sure it is an amazing guy but I don’t want him near this team.
Kuzma has way better instincts and they get buried with it out there |

I thought about your post when Kuz and IT were chirping at each other. I think there is more than bad chemistry between these two. |

IT is a ball dominate player, Kuz likes to create. It could work but it will take time for them to figure it out and develop a chemistry.
Unfortunately we are almost out of time so we may never find out. |

Its to bad he is a headcase. If he kept his mouth shut, he would be a big improvement over JC (both play no D, but IT is a much better scorer). We could have signed him for less money than JC. The IT train is going to be derailed. |

It hasn't been a head case or a bad teammate in LA. Him and Kuz may not play well together but that doesn't make him a head case. FYI Wade was this trouble maker in Cleveland not IT. Al though IT had the nerve to call out Kevin Love. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

IT and Kuzma both seem arrogant. I wasn't really watching their dynamic but if several people saw IT freezing Kuz maybe it's true.
All I know is that if Kuz is cold and chucking you should be freezing him at least on the short term... but if he's hot... you need to keep feeding him and riding that wave. If there is a problem, Luke needs to identify it and fix it quickly.
As I said, both have alpha dog personalities... never the best combination |

I agree somewhat but not putting it all on IT. His teammates just aren't used to a PG being that aggressive about getting into the paint and have a tendency to stand around watching instead of moving. IT does often over penetrate and gets himself into trouble leaving himself no outs because of his size.
Lonzo hasn't figured out how to attack the paint and collapse the defense yet. Dlo was like that as a rookie too and often had the ball taken out of his hands but you see him progressing every year. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

4 years? Whoa. He's probably getting 1 year from us though after Lebron muscles his way to Houston or Philly. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I've noticed little chemistry with IT and anyone. He's new to the team and his style is chaotic so it's not that harsh a statement. |

Assists last 5 games
Clarkson 4,1,3,3,1
Isaiah 6,7,7,9,4
And that's with IT playing like crap... Imagine if he starts playing well.
But let's keep up with the false narrative if you some of you just enjoy picking on someone just because they are short. |

So? It's not like people here were ever singing praises about his court vision and decision making. I don't have touch time stats but I think it's fair to say IT has the ball in hands a lot more to get those assists. |

If I saw you commenting on a variety of players bad play... I'd understand it... but when you focus on one continuously it seems unfairly biased to me.
Maybe you do evenly criticize everyone else and I haven't noticed... I'll look out for your comments on the other players.
Clarkson usually ran the second unit. Never was a great playmaker even though he seemed to improve a little playing under the influence of Ball.
IT is a vastly superior playmaker and although he's made some careless errors, he still has a decent assist/TO ratio most of the time.
It's a public forum so you can vent on who you want... I just feel like he'd be a good backup for Ball if we don't get LBJ and PG. Don't want to lose him especially if we can't sign LeBron who could provide cover for Lonzo. |
