It's not about the fans. It's about forcing the opposition to prepare as if a player might play. Make them spend some futile effort.

I agree with it.

I'd much rather them be overly cautious. And we don't know it's "overly" to begin with as we don't know the inside details.

Because it was never a week long injury.

You don't mess around with groin injuries.

It's overly cause even before Lonzo came back, he said he was ready and could play right now but the team is just waiting t'ill after the break. I bet if you ask Brandon, he would tell you he can play right now. Their logic probably was "Oh the Cavs are down 3-4 guys, we can buy ourselves a game by resting Brandon here".

Hate to break it to you, GT, but the injury reporting in sports is not for the fans - it's for the gamblers.

If it was up to the coaches, they'd say nothing and make opponents guess who was going to be out there. But sports leagues have known since the early days of horse racing that gambling (legal & otherwise) is a huge boost to interest & viewership, and much of the info out there (injuries, lineups, etc.) was initially published for the benefit of bettors.

We'd all like to see BI play, but I'm glad they're cautious. We're pretty much locked in at the 11th seed. There's no reason to press on through injury.

I've been hoping they can make a push for 40 wins, but at the end of the day it's just an arbitrary number as long as we're out of the playoffs.

Ireland just said on the radio that there is a report floating around that BI might play Tuesday night.

I would hate for BI to play before he's completely ready, but I'd love to have more firepower when Denver skulks into Staples.

They need to sign Bynum to a 10 day contract.

It's frustrating to see the lack of depth on our team with BI (and Hitman) out. In all honesty, unless it is a blowout, I don't want to see the likes of Ennis, Wear, Zu, or Caruso touching a court, but they've seen some major minutes as of late. Frankly those guys haven't played too bad, but I'm still holding out a slightest bit of hope at an 8 seed, and I don't see it happening if they are playing meaningful minutes.

BI just wants to be there for his teammates when we take down that Nuggets ass. Jamal Murray specifically.

Take it with a grain of salt, but the ESPN team said he was not expected to play Tuesday or Wednesday. Not sure who their source was.

So he’s good to go against Miami? Coincidence he’s gonna face the same guy that put him in this situation?

I'd like him back for the Nuggets game, but I've pegged the Golden State game as a loss. I think we can go 1-1 over the next two, and if he's back for Miami, that's cool with me. I think we win against Miami with or without him as well. Randle is holding the fort, Kuzma is slowly playing better and there is always Zo keeping the ship steady.

Nope, he going to get another evaluation after the next two games. No guarantees.
