He still forces the issue a bit too much, but that's all mental. Randle is going to get even better as times goes on as he refines his ability to recognize situations and, of course, as he improves his jumper.
Also of note - he had a fade away in the lane against Milsap early in the game. That was his bread and butter early last year. Hadn't really seen him go back to that in like almost a year. |
That was an awesome fade away.
I know it’s a tired statement but I think I’m in the improve the right hand wagon. There were times where Randle made shots more difficult then it needed to be because of using only his left hand.
I think he can though. Because once he does, he would be able to score inside like prime Lebron. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

He's still shooting 50% from the field tonight.
The entire team is just playing sloppily for whatever reason. |
And ended up at 11-17... |
I really liked the 7 offensive boards and suffocating defense down the stretch |
Yup, me too, he really is the real deal, always a fan of his, thought he was a sure fire top 3 out of the draft, when we got him at 7 I was ecstatic... |

Both these guys have some nastiness in them. We sorely need that kind of fire. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I admit I wanted Embiid more, but Julius was my second choice. The guy just carried that Kentucky team to the final tourney game. That is where he is Kobe like. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Those numbers are sick. Overall Blake was a better dunker, passer, and spot up shooter. But I'll take JR's upside and unknown over Blake's underachieving ass. And that's not even counting all of Blake's off court BS. |

Lakers need to keep this guy and I would rather see him as the starting center than Zubaccccc... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Not gonna lie. I disliked his attitude for a long time. Didn't do dirty work. Didn't play defense. Obsessed with isos. Dude has turned it around big time this season. He's a two-way monster now. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Fans & media all laughed when Magic mentioned 8 percent body fat or no playing time. Randle took it seriously. Look at what he's becoming. |

What gives Randle more upside is his ability to be a defender... and an elite defender at that. Blake just never cared for that end of the floor. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

To think, we might have packaged him with JC and dealt him to the Cavs or to Dal for Noel. |

Julius won't be a cheap resign, and if anyone thinks they can keep him and land two max guys, prepare to send two first rounders and maybe Hart to get rid of Deng. _________________ 17 time World Champions |

On the Lakers' way to dumping Julius Randle so they could sign two star contracts next summer, Randle started playing like a star. So why not modify the plan to one star free agent plus keeping Randle, and filling out the roster with what you have left?
He's really checking all the boxes right now, because he's also showing some true leadership skills as well. Magic needs to walk back that "Lonzo is our leader" talk, because he'll never be that at least until he's man enough to put his dad in his place.
But look at Julius. Which young Laker shows the pride to back up his teammates in an altercation, or step to an opponent who's disrespecting them? Randle. Which young Laker shows the maturity to congratulate opponents after a loss, while certain others are walking off the court pouting? Randle.
The Lakers should not only sign Randle without delay, they should consider making him a captain on next year's team (co-captain will do). Right now, at least before any superstars sign on, this is HIS team. |

RPM is up to 1.35, #80 in the league. Tops on the Lakers. #15 positionally.
(KCP is at #99, Lopez is at #105, and Lonzo is at #107) |

Me too ...Embiid then Randle and Wiggins for me. But if push came to shove for that 2nd pick, I think I would have swayed towards randle for the 2nd pick even back then. Today? Randle over Wiggins easy... |
