With the win, he’s gonna rest and sleep like a baby tonight so hopefully he’ll be ok.

Kuzma is gonna be special here. Even with his current flaws, he’s a ridiculously hard worker that will continue to get better, and his heart is out of this world.

Could it finally be Deng-time?!

I don’t think it will ever be Deng time. Williams would get some minutes if Kuzma can’t play.

I know you disagree with everything, especially if Klay is mentioned here. But wouldn't you agree that his performance was Thompson-esque?

Mike Trudell
@LakersReporter
Luke Walton on Kyle Kuzma (26P, 13R, 2A): “I thought his competitive spirit was great. He (gave) everything he had to the game. Kept telling me ‘coach I’m ready to go’ after he hurt the ankle.”

Great game by Kuzma tonight. He was huge when the Lakers were faltering in the second half. And nice effort in playing through the ankle sprain.

Russell would NEVER do that. This guy is the toughest youngin we have...BY FAR! Everyone else has a little tweak and they are out for 2 months

That is a man right there. That is, dare I say, MAMBA MENTALITY.

People will knock his defense and I would agree, but does this look like a kid that won’t progress on that end? A kid with that much skill and heart?

This is the kind of stuff why I’m so high on him.

Kyle Kuzma had x-rays on his right ankle postgame. He said they were clean, no breaks.

He will continue to have his ups and downs. I just have never understood the hate for a rookie given the flashes of brilliance he’s had all season long.

Mamba mentality

He's rebounding and defending like a fiend out there when his shot isn't dropping.

And let's recap Kuz's best games this season

The summer league finals
The Houston game
The Celtics game
The revenge game vs the Nuggets

He is a big game player, period
