Yes he has. Will be interesting to see if the FO will bring him back. At the right price, he is a value signing. |

Too many heat check 3s but he has been very solid for us. |

I wonder if they will, too.
Earlier in the season I didn't want him at any price because he wasn't playing hard in games, unless it was a game against his twin or his old team. But lately he's been playing hard every game and if he can continue that effort then I'd love to keep him.
He really likes it here and I think he'd take less $$$ to stay. |

I don't know if anyone can offer him 15M.
He already earned $120M during his career. Hope he can accept MLE money and stay with his hometown Lakers. |

There are too many centers in the NBA. cap market is tight. I don’t think Brook gets over 10m but I can see him taking the room exception to preserve his bird rights and stay in LA. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It would be great if they could figure out a way to keep him. It would require a paycut obviously. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

We're not going to find a better center then Brook for this offense even if he can't run our pace.
His 20 minutes are valuable, keep him plase |

As I said before, I don't think we're getting him back for the room or mid level exception.
Dedmon would fit good too imho. _________________ White guy to white guy alley oop |

He is off the charts in veteran leadership. Solid guy who is liked by all. Would love to keep him. He does shoot too many 3's. Would love him to post up further away from the basket. I do not think there is a 5 who he can not take it to the basket on. He has that long stride and gets to the basket quick. His touch near the basket is amazing. We would all love him to rebound more and be more consistent on the defensive end (he is a good defender when he want to be). |

What's VERY telling to me is that Brook didn't ask for a buyout. Pretty sure the Lakers would have granted it (they did for Brewer) so he could join a contender. Warriors would have died to have a guy like him.
I think he would highly consider staying here to finish out his career. I for one am a Brook fan and hope he does. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Dude averaged 4 rebounds a game ffs.... and this while in a contract year.
I'm worried about aging guys with questionable motors after they get a new contract. _________________ "He may say it's not you, it's him.... but it's really you." |

Ergo a room exception level deal?
He was invaluable to Jules' growth IMO. Put a traditional non-stretch center and Jules has a lot of the same spacing issues. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'd really still like to see both Brook and JR on this squad. Don't understand the McGee signing. Fingers crossed there's more to come. |

The team needs a shooting big and someone who can provide steady, reliable scoring. Signing McGee is making me worried that Brook won't be back. I would be absolutely ecstatic if he returns. His scoring and rim protection is enough of a difference maker in solidifying the team as a contender. I like McGee as the backup big or in spot minutes, but Brook is the rare offensive big in today's game that can not only eat inside, but space the floor as well. The Lakers need to do whatever it takes to keep him for at least another year if he's open to it. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Just realized... the Mo Wagner thread is already half the size of this one. That tells you how forgettable Brook is.
I mean, seems like a good dude. Solid player. Maybe a good fit for us. But still.. meh. _________________ "We got a new universe coming and he's going to control all our universes. We're going to put our universes together" - Metta World Peace |
