Luke is from Arizona so I like anyone from Arizona.
I went there so I might be a bit biased |
So the SB must've made you real happy. |

I had mine out when I was 17, its a painful experience. Only pain I ever had worse than that was kidney stones. At times like that, morphine is your friend. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Lakers should just make a huge fuss about it and accuse the cavs of dealing under bad faith just to try to extract some more assets from them. |

My first thought as well. His "I'll be able to dunk three times a month now." comment makes it seem he had this problem back in Cleveland. Maybe the Lakers knew about it but accepted the trade anyway in order to get the other assets.
I wasn't expecting much from Frye from a player standpoint but at least expected he'd knock down some threes for us every 4 or 5 games. We've already got an expensive inactive 'mentor'. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Frye might return to action on March 14th; just in time for the GSW game. |

Lakers' Channing Frye: Practices Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Quote: | Frye (abdomen) went through Wednesday's practice but should be considered doubtful for Thursday's contest against New Orleans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
Frye continues to work his way back from an appendectomy that he underwent about a month ago. The fact that he's been re-integrated into practice is a great sign for his progress and potential to play soon. That said, it's unlikely his return will take place Thursday. |

He's an Arizona guy. Friends with Luke. Probably loves living in LA, and has his sights on a media career soon. I can totally see him back on a minimum deal. Good guy to have.
Oh, and I think Richard Jefferson is gonna be riding the pine too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Ok I’ll post it here too then...
Yeah Channing!!!
Per Oram
Channing Frye will suit up tonight against the Pelicans. He hasn’t played since Feb. 14, also at New Orleans.

And according to another tweet I saw by somebody else he’s open to staying here as a free agent next season and helping us recruit LeBron LOL
EDIT: oh that was also from Bill
A pending free agent himself, Channing Frye says Lakers are “pretty appealing” to FAs. And if Lakers decide to keep him around he’ll happily make the call to recruit LeBron.

If he helps us land LeBron and PG we would be fools not to bring him back, it’s like a bonus gift for helping a person in need.

Sure, Frye has been a FA magnet his entire career. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

If Chandler Parsons can be a FA magnet so can Frye and from what I know Frye has a lot of relationships around the NBA. |

Channing Frye willing to recruit free agents
Quote: | With just 12 games remaining in the regular season, Frye said he wants to see where he “could fit in for the future.” If it’s with the Lakers, he also can envision himself serving as a bit of a matchmaker.
“I think a lot of vets are going to ask me how it is,” Frye said. “They’re going to ask I.T. (Isaiah Thomas) how it is.”
And yes, if his former teammate James is the target, Frye will happily make a phone call. |

Frye played his best game as aLaker tonight. Dude was on fire. His veteran presence is great for this young team. He's a keeper for the right price. |

Just seems like the type of veteran this team needs. Doesn't Lebron like him a lot too?!? 😂 |

That looked like NY Knick Channing Frye out there tonight. I thought that guy went extinct a decade ago. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |
