Over the Top....family friendly from what I recall....but I must warn you that you may have the urge to turn your hat backwards when doing anything that requires additional strength for a few weeks after watching.

Gah...Irreversible. That's a film you only need/want to watch once (and even then). His later films are even worse.

If we're going that route. I suggest Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99. Brutal.

I wouldn't call "Josie Wales" a mindless popcorn movie.

He picked the wrong John Vernon hit. He meant to say Animal House. Dean Wormer, not Fletcher.

"Animal House" is DEFINITELY not a brainless popcorn film.

I think Josie Wales is one of those movies that you can see many ways. Comedy with Chief Dan George and Ruth Gordon, typical Clint Eastwood western, and the Evil Redleg. All that being said it was one of Orson Welles favorites.

Is there a film Will Smith won't make? He made 20 million for this, IMO, horrible film.

EDIT Suicide Squad grossed 700 million.

Actually i think these fit the bill nicely. Definitely not "good" movies but I wouldnt say garbage and they also are not going to put you to sleep.

Only bc they're loud. Otherwise, they give Gigli a run for worst movies of all time.

Uh...maybe you didn't get it at first but my list was intended as the polar opposite of what OP asked for.
