Wilder looks sloppy only when he has his opponents hurt. He's come a long way in his skills. He has a pretty solid jab now. He just has that incredible reach and nuclear power in his right hand. Joshua has the best chance of beating him but I'm not sure his chin will hold up for a 12 rounder.

When he has his opponents hurt he literally runs across the ring wide open, his punches are wild and mostly arm. His jab is a pawing like range finder, For him to beat Joshua he has to be more confined. I give him a punchers chance.

Canelo busted for performance enhancing drugs

Claims he tested positive due to tainted Mexican meat! Good news is the fight is still on.

Not surprised. In the immortal words of Fernando Protein Shake Vargas: "Mexicans are not supposed to look like this"

What fight are you talking about?

I meant "Against whom?"

Now I see it's the rematch. DLH praying GGG has aged all the moer (i.e. is slower).

Be interested to know what he got busted for. Have a friend who raises breeding cattle in Mexico, and he says that if you eat Mexican beef, you likely would test positive for Clembuterol. Unregulated there and they use it a ton. And that's just beef. Chicken is worse (and here as well BTW)

Do you mean clenbuterol? If so I believe that's a illegal drug in athletes. LINK

Yeah thanks, I think that's the correct spelling.

It was. The drugs use on animals leaves him a back door.

I wonder why they had the fight same night right across the river from the Ortiz vs Wilder contest?

Solid performance by Wilder and King Kong. Can see why it has been so hard for Ortiz to get fights. Dude damn near pulled it off. Walks away with a 500K gross payday. He's living well. Still can do some damage in the division.

As for Wilder, 2 million for bones but as far as who's holding the cards, it's Hearn and Joshua. Wilder has to pray that Parker beats Joshua in this fight and probably the rematch which is unlikely. Hearn knows Joshua pulls 70K to see him fight. Wilder was lucky to see 14k in Brooklyn. He can't demand even money when the bigger draw is clearly Joshua. Dude needs to take a 60/40 split, whip Josh's ass and then demand 60/40 in a possible rematch in his favor. Sucks but that's the fight game. The English love Joshua. Americans barely know who Wilder is.

Wilder is being ill served by Dibella. He is the 7 time defending heavyweight champion of the world 40 wins and 39 KOs yet he's not a household name. He needs to hire a top level publicist to take care of him.

^^^ Absolutely correct.

Not only are Americans familiar only with who Joshua is, the story is somehow becoming that Wilder has been ducking the Englishman.

Well Wilder is doing well in terms of generating ratings at least. His fight with Ortiz last weekend and his 1st fight vs. Stiverne 3 years ago are the two highest rated Showtime boxing cards over the past 5 years (since Cotto fought on Showtime vs. Trout). Really feel like his next non-PPV fight needs to be on CBS so he can garner more exposure. But yeah, as an undefeated heavyweight champion who appears to have historically great punching power, the big personality he has, and as one of the last U.S. boxers to medal at the Olympics, he should be a much bigger star by now. Probably need to push him to CBS and the talk-show circuit may help a bit...

MGM is already offering ticket refunds and HBO has officially took the fight off it's schedule. Fight is off.

Clenelo is nothing but a dirty stinkin CHEATER. Woulda got KTFO the first fight if not for the juice. His whole career is now a sham.

Sorry took so long. Been on the move. Joshua seems like the safe bet. Seems to be more technical. Better boxer but Wilder definitely has a chance. In the heavyweight division, damn near every one is a big puncher and eventually that jaw has to be tested. Klitschko tested Joshua’s chin and couldn’t finish the deal. Ortiz tested Wilder’s chin and couldn’t finish the deal.

Who’s to say if it’s in London and Joshua has Wilder hurt and a ref steps in too prematurely to save the hometown boy. If Wilder hurts Joshua, the ref will probably give more rope to see if Joshua can survive. Wilder definitely has the better jab.

Who’s gonna back up first? Probably Wilder. Surprisingly, he can box going backwards. If he established that stick and dots up Joshua, I can see him winning. Just think eventually The distance is gonna close and Joshua is more technically sound. Should be a nice fight.

Too bad Hearn is trying to push Joshua to the side and have Wilder fight Dillion Whyte who Joshua already beat. This fight can be made so easily. Wilder already said he’d go to London but he’s gotta take less since 70k is going to see Joshua. Joshua is Hearn’s meal ticket and if Joshua was defeated by whomever and inThe rematch, he’d run to Wilder begging for a shot at that WBC title. Since he’s not in that situation and has all the cards In His favor, their calling the shots and trying to build up a fight that doesn’t need building. I’m not trying to get a Manny vs. Floyd fight.

Sad. Sets up this Jacobs fight this weekend. They’ve made it an elimination bout which could possibly set up a GGG vs. Jacobs II. This Polish cat Jacobs is fighting is 26-0. Only a couple marginal names on Sulecki’s resume but nothing spectacular. He’s a Haymon fighter and Jacobs is with Hearn. Danny should win this easily. Sulecki’s 26 wins with10 KOs means Jacobs shouldn’t fear his power. And Haymon should make it mandatory that Jacobs is not coming into the fight at 185-88.

As he should ... he made 18M (USD) .... Parker made a measly 9M (USD)

Parker has never seen that much cake ......

Who's calling the shots???? Wilder made 2M fighting Ortiz who made 500K, which after taxes is 275K and after paying his camp, hopefully King Kong got outta there with 200K.

They fight when Joshua wants to fight. Wilder has zero say in this. Joshua could fight a stop sign and make 10M (USD) easily

Parker gave Joshua all he wanted. I thought it was closer than the score cards.118-110 twice and 119-109. I had it 116 112 Joshua. Did you score it? If so, how.

Finally looks like Joshua vs Wilder is unavoidable

Joshua can also use Fury as leverage so Wilder just gonna have to accept his terms
