Brandon and Lonzo mini-Update

Per Tania G

Brandon Ingram didn't travel with the Lakers to Utah and is out for tomorrow's game. Lonzo Ball did travel but is doubtful. Naturally, Alex Caruso is still with them.

It is starting to look like Lonzo and BI are going to be shut down for the rest of the season.

The Daily Lonzo

Lonzo Ball is out for tonight and most likely tomorrow. His knee still hurts. With so few games left in the season, he won’t play until it doesn’t hurt, Walton said.

It has been a weird season. Frye and Thomas were damaged goods but the rest of the team has been very healthy. The only real blemish was Harts broken hand. The problem has been that seemingly minor injuries to Ball and Ingram have resulted in quite a few missed games.

The Daily Lonzo (& some Brandon)

Goodness.

Per Trudell

Lonzo Ball has gastroenteritis and, as such, isn’t with the team tonight. He was going to be held out anyways due to the knee contusion. Ingram (concussion protocol) is also at home.

Even Our Medical Staff

Per Tania G

Lakers trainer Marco Nunez will be back on the bench tonight. He has missed a few weeks while recovering from eye surgery.

The Lonzo and Brandon Show

Per Trudell

Luke Walton said Ball and Ingram are likely out for tomorrow night’s game.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/981971477619601408?s=21

Brandon Update

I missed this one from yesterday. Per Tania G

Brandon Ingram will have to go through several activities without his concussion symptoms returning before he can play. Today he did the first of those: riding a stationary bike. After 24 hours if the symptoms don't return, he'll go on to the next step. He's out for tomorrow.

G League Report

They put up a good fight but the SB Lakers are out the playoffs hence everyone is available

Per SBLakers

The @Lakers have recalled Thomas Bryant and Travis Wear from South Bay. Alex Caruso and Gary Payton II will also rejoin Los Angeles. All players are expected to be in uniform when the Lakers host the Timberwolves tonight at STAPLES Center.

^ Agreed. ^. Frustrating end to say the least. On that note…

Kuz Update

Per Shahan

X-rays negative for Kuzma. Officially day to day.

https://twitter.com/shahanla/status/982489126816530432?s=21

Per Ohm
Kyle Kuzma's ankles are beat up. He was already playing through a sprained right ankle that has bothered him since college last year and now he has a mild left ankle sprain. With three games remaining in the season, Kuzma may have to rest his ankles... http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0774163093004491283-4

Indeed a depressing season off injuries alone. If we had absolutely NO injuries all year, we'd probably be a 45 win team.Just sad but most of us Lakers fans are use to it now.

For what it's worth, only four teams in the league have missed fewer games due to injury this year than the Lakers. The younger roster has really improved things in that area.

@billoram

Lonzo Ball has been upgraded to questionable for the Lakers game against Utah on Sunday. Brandon Ingram remains out.

Kyle Kuzma also questionable after suffering ankle sprain last night vs. Timberwolves.

it's a home game...maybe I will be proven wrong, but assume it's to ensure people show up for the game....doubt he plays.

These last few games of the season should be scintillating…

Per Ohm

Lonzo Ball (knee contusion), Brandon Ingram (concussion protocol) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) are all out for Sunday against Utah.

https://twitter.com/notoriousohm/status/983079482037698560?s=21

Per Shahan

Luke Walton wouldn’t officially rule out Ingram and Ball for the season, but he didn’t sound like he would be “comfortable” with either of them playing with only one day of practice left in the season & neither of them having played basketball for a while.

https://twitter.com/shahanla/status/983077529907965952?s=21

So yeah...
