He’s having a bad game and he is at 16/9 entering the 4th. |
And he's been a complete negative.
Are we still using numbers and box scores in 2018? |

We sure aren’t using intelligence. We score 2 points when he is on the bench but begin scoring again when he returned. Is that negative? I know you are Mr, whine and complain about everything but a little common sense would be nice. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

And yet he was a -14.
We began scoring when he returned....
When we were down 20 already?
Wow. Amazing!
We were down 20 because of the lineup he was in. The irony of calling out my intelligence when you just tried to say Randle was doing more than scoring in garbage minutes. |

A bad game for Randle is 20/10. That’s a good thing!
You just posted his +/- after asking whether we still use box scores? Ok. |

That's because I also watched the game. And that stat reflected how bad he was. He had as many turnovers as the entire Wolves team because he still doesn't know his limitations or knows them but tries to play the exact same way anyways. |

I’m not gonna overreact cause we don’t have a full squad and maybe he’s doing to much which is causing those stupid turnovers. |

He needs to play off another guy, a guard. The second he tries and do too much he looks like crap. A lot of empty numbers last month or so, Lakers are losing.
No clue what they'll do with him. Can argue for and against him either way. _________________ 17 time World Champions |

10-10 from the free throw line tonight and a 20/10/2 game.
That's a "bad" performance I guess.
Randle, Hart and Zubac are the only ones that brought it tonight.
He bounced back strong in the 2nd half for sure. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

He has been thrust into a new role the past 4-5 games, that takes adjustment. I don’t expect you to understand that but others do. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

He is doing what the coaching staff is asking of him. It is as simple as listening to Luke’s interviews l. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Luke Walton on Randle's new role to close the season
Ryan Ward
@RyanWardLA
Luke Walton on Julius Randle: "I think his willingness to continue to try to grow as a player is really impressive because he's so dominant physically & he has had so much success recently." #Lakers
Luke Walton on Julius Randle: "I feel like if he wanted to, he could just put his head down & get to the rim and score 30 points a night, but we're asking more of him as far as we want him being a playmaker." #Lakers

And so the answer to your question, “are we still using numbers and box scores in 2018”, is, decidedly ‘yes’ then right?
When a player has a bad game, and all players do at some point, what you should want is for that game to look something like 20/10/2 on only 11 shots. That’s when you know you are growing as a player and as a team. |

They're losing because the entire team is banged up and key players are missing.
Julius is being asked to be the primary playmaker and scorer for the team. Hell Julius' role has been continually been shifting throughout the season.
It's wack that people wait until the team goes on a losing streak then pop up to blame it all on Julius regardless of how well he plays. |

Basic stats like points and rebounds aren't very telling of his game and they neve have been. Whether he plays very well or very poorly, he still ends up with a similar stat line. From watching the game last night, I can tell that his 20-10 was not a helpful contribution. Other games, he is the difference maker with the same 20-10 stat line. |

He’s the only one to suit up for every game. He is quickly adding another dimension to his game (playmaking) and finally earning the respect from the officials but yet some don’t want him here. We don’t deserve nice things. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Valid points on both parts. A few factors to consider at this point in the season:
1. He's been a workhorse this year. As durable as a team could want. Point? He's probably a bit tired. There's also nothing substantial to play for at this point like the playoffs. He's putting up the numbers, but w/o Ball, and Ingram for awhile, at one time, Hart, the stats are kind of empty because of the losses.
2. He's learned how to play his game. His game, at least right now, is predicated on focusing on the low post. He's bound to put up numbers down there because he's relishes the physicality, and is becoming a force because of his strength, and speed also when he gets those running starts towards the rim.
3. Conclusion? He's a keeper because he's always demonstrated the work ethic and the fire. The key is putting some serious talent around him, and the core. Then, hopefully winning follows, and those stats could significantly improve, especially in terms of his efficiency. |

They fact they're asking Julius to be a point forward or main facilitator these last few games kind of feels like they know they aren't bringing Lonzo back this season.
Otherwise why ask it? _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

cuz we have no one else who can potentially create advantages for guys looking to pass? and he did it a lot his first two years..
i don't get the correlation. we're simply trying to do our best while bereft of initiator talent |

If Kuzma is out as well, I'm down to see Randle put his head down and get 30 because theres no point in play making for players like Tyler Ennis |

Fair enough but my point is that that’s how it goes with the better players in the league, which is where Julius seems to be right now.
Take for example Kobe. He could have a good night or a bad night and put up a 27 and 6 stat line. His bad nights you might seem him jack close to 30 shots to get there or have a ton of turnovers. With JR, his bad nights might involve high TOs and/or poor defense, but he will still get you the roughly 20/10.
I don't think many people would say he had a good game vs the Wolves, but what I am saying is that it is a good thing when last night is what a bad game looks like. |
