Something not even remotely like that. But entirely fun for me.

That is the great thing about golf.

You are really playing against yourself and it is exciting to break different levels. I remember the first time I broke 100 (yes 100) legitimately without moving the ball, taking any gimmes, etc.

I was quite proud of that, golf is hard.

It is indeed. Which is what makes it so satisfying when you have a breakthrough. Or when you see one of the greatest pros swing a horrible shot that you have done better on.

And every once in a while, you hit a shot even the pros would admire. I remember last year being stuck 25 yards down hill from the green, with a fifty foot tall tree between me and the green, and a nasty bunker and the elevation precluding going low. So I decided of course to try a ridiculous flop shot. I opened up the wedge and made a full swing, hitting the ball perfectly. It went sky high and landed with a thud six inches from the pin. Phil Michelson wouldn’t have made that shot any better.

Of course, I hooked the next drive out of bounds

Spieth, Fowler and of course Reed coming up big late were amazing.

Great Masters as always.

My dad is 76 and he has that flop shot in his arsenal still. I've never had that shot; I'm just happy if I don't blade a chip! And I've still never beaten him whenever we've played together. The last time was close, as I played great (for me) and he played poorly (for him). I went to 18 only trailing by one stroke. But he birdied the par-5 18th, while I bogeyed it. 79 for the old man, 82 for the less old man. It was the closest I've come to breaking 80 since I was 19. And that was the only time I did it. It would feel so much better to do it now!

Get me on a long course though, and I might not break 90.

Looks like someone is trying really hard not to. I mean seriously, what a trashy article. Pointing to an asinine question like " which of their fellow pros they’d be least likely help out in a fight", rumors and his family situation where no one knows the realities (and is really no one's business) . . . ?

I certainly won't claim to know much about Reed the person, and maybe he is a total asshat, but the only person that article made me think less of is the author.

My Achilles heel for sure. I can go to the range or practice area and chip 25 straight balls 15 yards and hit a target within a foot or two 24 times. Once I'm on the course, I skull it 8 times out of 10 and hit the ball right over the green and off the other side.
