I don't know if any of y'all were watching the Pacers and Cavs game today, but LeBron at this point in his career plays no defense, and just pads his stats. His numbers looked good today because he played 46 minutes, but overall he made little to no impact on the game. And he's turning 34 soon and wants a multi year max contract? Pass.

Agreed.

That's how I've been feeling about him all along. He doesn't play the same defense or have the impact on games that he used to. People read his stats and assume he's the same player, and will continue to be for years. I'd rather have what improving Randle will bring to the table for the next 8 or 10 years over 2 years of declining LeBron eating up the cap. I pass on wanting him, but I doubt Magic will. I hope LeBron makes the decision easy for us and helps us dodge a bullet the way D12, Melo, and Aldridge did.

Father Time is undefeated and I don’t care what Bron has been taking to stave off injuries. It’s going to catch up and catch up before the Lakers have an actual window past Golden State

LeBron losing ASAP doesn't bring him closer to the Lakers.

I want LeBron losing ASAP because I want LeBron to lose in the first round and the discussion becoming "See? Without Kyrie, LeBron couldn't even get out of the first round."

But that will never be the narrative. Criticism will never be focused on James. It is always his teammates fault. "They" didn't do enough.

Look at all the the different reasons that "sources" tend to throw under the bus over the past couple seasons. The coaching issues, the player issues, the management issues. Cavs have surrounded him with quality playoff tested rosters.

Why would that be any different with the Laker roster? Sources would be criticizing them even more.

Sign free agents, just not James. I simply do not want the inevitable circus to come to town.

Absolutely. If Cleveland were to say get swept by Indy, that would greatly increase the chances he leaves the Cavs.

Once he decides to leave, anything could happen.

To me, he is still the best player in the league.

There’s no debate. Denying this just shows a hatred for Lebron.

With that said, I’m not sure getting swept makes him want to join the Lakers. It could make him believe he can no longer carry a team and make him wanna join a more talented group to get a few more rings.

Right now? ...maybe. Next year? You better believe there’ll be a fierce debate. Two years from now? Probably not.

This is blasphemy! I will continue my powerless campaign, hoping that others will see that this is a bad idea on all fronts. He won't get us to the promise land ever.

I have been a Lebron fan but he isn’t the best player in the league, he has been on the decline for at least two seasons. He is still good, like a 2011 Kobe was still good. I am not against us getting him, but every season there will be another player or two who will be passing him.

If we want Lebron, its better that he loses early. He may realize that the east will be a bloodbath next year with everyone healthier and more experienced. It may tough for him just to get out of the 2nd round. If he makes it out of the east or loses in the ECF he may very well stay in the east.

In my opinion, it won't be a cakewalk for him in either conference next year.

3 years? Probably not. But still top 5 in the league.

That’s how I see it barring major injury.

LBJ is 33 now I mean who in this league is still playing great from his generation? He is still a top 10 player but I'd take Harden or Curry over him to win me one game. Yeah LBJ has been great for a long time but time catches up with everyone he's no exception.

I’m thinking he or she thinks he will bring to much drama.

She does and while the Lakers live off of drama its not worth it at his age.

LeBron was the only player this year to play over 3,000 minutes and he's in his 15th year. He's basically out of gas and trying to fight through it. Assessing who he is as a player by his energy and effort in April is missing the point.

If he does join the Lakers, it would make sense for Luke to manage his minutes differently. Playing him 70 games, around 32 mpg probably gives you the highest impact.

With what cap Chronicle?

if they let DJ and Bradley walk then maybe, but that would weaken there team and they won’t have anything else left to sign other players....

After looking at the numbers, the Warriors are so much better with Curry on the floor that I can understand that perspective. No way would I take Harden.

I still think every coach and GM takes Lebron for just this season.

He doesn’t play defense in the regular season because he’s asked to do more than any other player in the league.
