Yeah EVERYTHING is fake,

Imagine the idiots that actually believe the 50,000+ UFO Reports and all the thousands of fake photos and the reports from celebrities, politicians, judges, police officers, lawyers, pilots, military personnel and other people with real jobs and real degrees that claim to have seen that kind of crap! And there is no truth to the government trying to cover it all up since the late 40's, even though one of the people they hired to debunk them, turned into one of the biggest UFO advocates after seeing all the evidence..
LINK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Allen_Hynek

Better yet, imagine the people who investigate Sasquatch sightings and encounters, imagine a guy like John Green who amassed thousands of reports from all over the US and Canada, and the BFRO who have thousands of Bigfoot reports on their site, all of them investigated by their team, who continue to propagate these false beliefs. And never mind the physical evidence, like foot prints as to anyone who has ever taken the time to understand they could not be made by humans, after all they must be fake too. And equally amazing is that there are dozens Bigfoot-type reports (typically referred to as a Hairy wild man) started back in the 1800's and nearly every single Native American Indian tribe knew of Bigfoot, as they coexisted with them for thousands of years (The Indians MUST all be lying!) And pay no attention to the FACT that there are Bigfoot reports from every US State (except Hawaii - guess it's too far for them to swim...)! Or that there are approx. 500 Bigfoot Reports made each year and probably as much as 10 times that number that go unreported!

And why should anyone wish a RIP to Art Bell when he was such a huge part in continuing all these false topics, I mean he dedicated his entire life to nothing more than WWF Wrestling, what a waste...

Strange thing is all these Bigfoot sightings and not one partial skeleton of a dead one.

No one says UFO's don't exist. Of course there are unexplained sightings of objects in the sky. The question is are those sightings evidence of an actual alien visitation, and despite all those sighting and footage there is not one that has been verifiable as being so. One would think that if aliens visitation was such a real and frequent occurrence, maybe just once, there'd be actual contact of a "Hey, here we are. Just checking in to say hello" type. The idea that aliens are frequenting our skies, but just enough for fleeting sightings and questionable imagery just doesn't pass the logic test.

As for a government cover up, it's not about them covering up the existence of alien visitation. It's about trying to keep a lid on secret projects and tests.

First of all, as Omar said, for a beast that is allegedly in such profound existence, there is absolutely no physical evidence in the form fossils or remains.

Furthermore, you'd think that after all this time with cameras becoming more and more prolific, there'd be at least one photo or video that provided an indisputable image of such a creature, and yet there isn't . . . no dead bigfoots . . . no undeniable images . . . so yeah, acting as if people are being unreasonable for not buying into the myth is silly.

As for Native American lore, there's tons of mythology involved and it's just that.

There are a lot of reports of unidentified flying objects. Which one do you find most compelling in suggesting the existence of extraterrestrial life?

Not really. A lot of crazy has minor true components, and most crazy is just that. Crazy. Hence the name.

A reasonable option, there can be unidentifiable objects, flying in this case, that arenít aliens. We understand a small fraction of the world we live in and we gain understanding by questioning what we see. People thought that Da Vinci was a quack during his time but now we know that his questioning of his environment benefited the world.

There's a huge difference between questioning (looking for answers) and just making them up.

I think we can all agree that there are many unexplained mysteries out there and Art Bell helped foster our inquisitiveness about the things we don't have answers for, however far reaching the subject material may have been.

For that we can all say a collective "Thank You " to Art Bell.

What I take issue with is a certain disparaging remark calling Art Bell the godfather of fake news. A certain nazi propaganda minister can take credit for that, if you know your history.

I respect your right to that opinion, even if i don't share it. And for what it's worth, I agree with you on the part about him being the godfather. I didn't mean to imply he invented it. He merely added to it, and made it easier for more and more outrageous people to follow him.

To repeat the X-Files theme: The Truth is out there

Sitting behind a computer will never provide anyone with the evidence they need, try attending a local MUFON meeting, where abductees discuss their experiences.

I'm not here to convince anyone of anything, the fact is, I don't a horse in this race, so I don't care one way or the other.

What I find both funny and sad, is the the vast numbers of people who claim there is no evidence of anything, which couldn't be farther from the truth, there is a myriad of evidence out there for anyone who chooses to look and investigate, don't expect to be hand fed evidence, you are going to need to apply logic and deductive reasoning as well.

Anyway, there are a number of classic cases, which have never been disproven that might be a fun place to start, but you're gonna have to do some internet searches:

1) The Barney & Betty Hill Abduction
2) The Lonnie Zamora UFO sighting is often cited as one of the most compelling on record by leading UFO researchers.
3) The Rendlesham Forest Case
4) The Travis Walton Abduction
5) 1973-Pascagoula, Mississippi Abduction

And here's a Link: https://www.thoughtco.com/the-best-documented-ufo-cases-3293399

cheers...

I can can totally see where you are coming from. He definitely fed the psyche of the modern day conspiracy nuts and "legitimized" the irrational approach to them.

Personal anecdotes are the least believable form of evidence. Even the most well intentioned of witnesses etc. completely misremember, misinterpret and even unintentionally invent things when recounting them. The is a reason that science takes such an empirical approach to investigation.

"Evidence" of what? Things that can't be explained? Of course there is. There is a great deal of evidence of things that can't be explained. The problem, comes when the leap goes from "we don't understand what we see here" to "well, it must be extra-terrestrial in nature".

Look, I was a UFO and Bigfoot fanatic when I was a kid. I know all about the Barney and Betty Hills and Patterson Bigfoot footages and all of that kind of thing. But in the many decades since, there's been interesting events and reports, but there's been nothing even approaching compelling evidence that Bigfoot is real or that we have certainly;y been visited by extra-terrestrial life forms. Believe me, if there were, I would certainly accept it. "Could be"/"Might be" is questionable evidence, not verification.

You do realize that uncorroborated eyewitness testimony is the lowest form of evidence that exists? People believe things that arenít true, make things up, exaggerate them, etc. hard evidence is in short supply for alien abductions, and by short Iím being charitable.

And BTW. The X-Files posters also say "I want to believe" . . . which indicates a couple of big problems. First of all, when there is the desire to think something is true, then ones critical thinking is compromised. The desire obscures the path of rational and neutral assessment of information. The inevitable is that belief fuels the information and how it is assessed. "Belief" is very different than reality, which is verified through factual evidence that proves something to be true.

People don't "believe" that planes will fly. They know they do because science has proven it to be a fact. And before it was a fact that "people can fly", the people that believed it was possible went out and proved it. And thus it went from a belief to a truth.

Truth isn't "out there". Truth is only truth when it is right in front of you in verified, undeniable fashion. That's what makes it Truth, not an obscure thing that is floating out there in the world of the unproven.

I have no problem with people wanting to believe that unexplained things in the sky and people's stories about getting probed mean that we are being visited by aliens. But those people need too understand that it is just that - a belief. Pretending that the problem lies with the "non-believers" is silly and certainly doesn't lend credibility to the belief.

And here's a Link: https://www.thoughtco.com/the-best-documented-ufo-cases-3293399

cheers...
1973 abduction? Zamora was in 1964. The Hills in 1961. Rendelsham Forrest was 1980. Walton was 1975. Today there are billions of people with cell phones with cameras. Can you offer a link to any conclusive UFO video?

I believe there are intelligent life forms in existence other than human. They're scoping us out. How can they like what they're seeing? We're blowing each other up, can't get along with different shades of epidermis, lack empathy, I could go on and on. If they're able to visit us they're of higher intelligence. They probably don't want us visiting them.

I respectfully disagree. Truth is out there.

I hold some truth is beyond our intellectual level. Containing truth to an obedience doesn't allow exploration. IMO that would stifle advancement.

Truth the world is flat, proven to be wrong. Looking beyond what is allows truth is what's known at a particular junction.

Again, it's not "truth" until it is understood and verified. Outside of that, things fall into category of conjecture, belief or faith.

"The world is flat" was not a truth, it was a belief that was incorrect. Beliefs are not truth.

Which gets us back to "I want to believe".

We're in agreement that it's not truth until verified. How do we get pass "I want to believe?" We do it by exploring. My point is, the truth is out there and saying it's not is a blockade to finding it.

Answers to questions are out there. When the question is answered, then, and only then, do you have truth.

Again, we're in agreement when truth is verified it's truth. Where we part is you're saying "truth isn't out there." That's stifling.
