Yes!!! Also win the series.

If Ryu can keep this up then he can be a legit #2 in the rotation.

Top prospect Walker Buehler will be placed on the @Dodgers taxi squad today and is scheduled to start Monday night against the Marlins.

Cubs got screwed. lol

Quote:
Darvish lasted 4 2/3 innings, failing to complete five innings for the third time in four starts this year. His pitching coach, Jim Hickey, sees the same pattern everyone else is seeing: Darvish loses his command quickly and allows the game to get away from him. This time, a five-pitch walk to the pitcher lit a flame to the Rockies rally.

Yeah. Hopefully Beuhler provides that jolt like Bellinger did when he was called up last season. We were molten hot after April 25th of last season.

Ok, at least we avoided that.

Even with our crappy start, we're still a game better than last year after 20 games (9-11 last year).

All this with Kershaw 1-3, Jansen not really himself and no JT.

This team never starts well but always catches fire around June.

Hopefully this series win will catapult a nice streak and the Dodgers start looking like the Dodgers.

As usual, the bullpen will be a constant work in progress to figure out who fits best. Alexander hasn't been very good with his control, but he'll still be looked upon as the groundball specialist Watson was. Cingrani has been a gem as well as Chargois. Let's hope Koehler comes back healthy after the All-Star break and effective. I'm intrigued at the potential of Ariel Hernandez, whom the Dodgers picked up from the Reds recently. A gigantic if, but if he can work out his control issues, he can become a Brandon Morrow for the team with his elite caliber stuff.

Looking even further ahead, the Dodgers have some guys in the minors that could help jumpstart the team if needed. We have to see Verdugo at some point in the season. I'm hoping that the team takes a longer look at Tim Locastro as a potential lead-off man. He's crushing it in the minors right now but there's just too many other players ahead of him on the depth chart.

I went to this game with a couple buddies, including a Cubs friend of mine. My Rockies buddy was worried but I kept telling him not to fret -- Darvish was going to implode at some point. Sure enough

How did Buehler look on his start? Is he the second coming of Kershaw?

Yeah, that first inning was good. He loaded the bases and then didn't get rattled. Got out of the inning scoreless.

His fastball is, well, fast. Left a slider hanging over the plate that could have been a problem but was just a base hit. Didn't really get a chance to check out his curve since I was flipping between this and NBA.
