To answer the question... it would HURT but would depend on the deal.
If we can re-sign Randle, bring in another legit talent... maybe dump Deng in the process... not trade away any other core pieces, you'd have to listen.
Lakers are reloading now. Not rebuilding for another few years. They're looking at 3s & possible 4s to sign. Will probably end up trading one of the young guys. _________________ Austin Reaves

Depends on what we get back? The 1st pick to draft DeAndre Ayton? Anthony Davis? Embiid or Simmons?
No? Then no. |
I’ve seen people overrate Kuz but wow |

I too would trade Kuz for Kawhi if we didn't give up a ton else, if we can keep Ingram and Randle and Lonzo, sure. _________________ Austin Reaves

It’s not overrating, it’s selling high. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

If we can get KL for a package centered around Kuz we’d be fools not to |

Would bum me out more than anything else trading Kuz though. I think he has star potential. He has an IT factor too that I don't really think Zo or BI has either. So few teams keep their entire young core though. _________________ Austin Reaves

I see the same thing. He does have the IT factor. It started in summer league and carried through the season. I think Magic and Rob are more loyal to their guys. That's not to say they won't trade him but I don't think they will. People are going to be blown away in his sophomore year. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I could see kuzma not improving a ton.
His offensive game is pretty polished, he knows what he can do and does it well. He doesn’t have any raw untapped aspects to his game nor elite physical traits/athleticism.
Wouldn’t be surprised to witness incremental improvements to things such as ball handling, shot selection, & strength but not sure how high his ceiling is.
Great 6th man is what I hope for him to be for us for many years.
Definitely don’t see star like many here saying taller klay or kobe, etc. |

Kuzma is my favorite player on this team. Out of any of these guys I could see him hitting the gym and learning from the greats about how to one day be among them. I see a drive there that I don’t see from Lonzo or Brandon. I think he’s untouchable right now. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

You do realize that both Luke and Magic Johnson have quotes where they straight up say that Ingram is the hardest worker on the entire team right? I think they know more then us. |

To be fair, Brandon gets the most praise from FO and I think Kuzma is right there as well but that is based off of my feelings and intereptation of the kid. Lonzo on the other hand has yet to receive too much love in that department. |

Well yeah to go from what Kuz was in Utah and what Kuz was this year takes a lot of hard work. I just think it’s silly to say you don’t see a drive from the guy that has the most quotes out of anyone on the roster about his work ethic.
I know this is a hot take but I’m honestly not too sold on Lonzo’s work ethic, but hopefully he shows us something this off season |

I believe both are hard workers. BI is the silent assassin but Kuz wants everyone to know he wants it. He's putting his chips all-in and betting on himself letting it be known to everyone he's going to be the next big star. |

I agree. Kuzma has a more Kobe like personality while Ingram isn’t that open. They’re probably my two favorite players on the league.
At one point of this season I was convinced these two would be our starting forwards for the next decade but then Randle just went ham so now idk. A great problem to have if we resign him tho |

Lol just cause BI isn’t as flashy or outspoken as Kuzma don’t mean he ain’t driven or not hitting the gym.
Luke and Magic have literally said BI lives in the gym. Smh |

I agree, BI is a hard worker and reminds me of James Worthy personality wise. A quite humble kid from North Carolina.
