And that concludes the 2nd Round. Ended up getting 23 of the 32 right. I wonder if that's good or bad LOL.
Da Raidahhhs are on the clock at #65. |

He's falling because he apparently told teams during interviews that he might kneel during the anthem. Of course this is BS that teams are doing this to him, but it was really dumb of him to say that. I mean, if that's how you feel, just lie, and then do it after you get drafted. |
I thought they reported he was falling because teams thought he was being dishonest about the questions he claimed he was being asked such as homophobic questions....guess one team claims he admitted to them he had been dishonest with his claims. |

What a steal for the Texans with Justin Reid at 68 overall. He legitimately could've went in the late 1st. Interesting that he's the brother of Eric Reid, and Bob McNair gave his blessing for him to be drafted. |

Yep. We then drafted James Washington to presumably replace Bryant. |

Steelers move up to #76 to get Mason Rudolph. Love the pick, love the fit, and they even drafted his top WR in the previous round. |

I might keep my eye on Rasheem Green from USC. He's only 20 years old and very raw, but an incredible athlete. Defensive end athletic clay, basically. He probably won't make a big immediate impact, but I could see this happening. Since Sam Hubbard just came off the board; that would've been a good pick. I'd also watch for Orlando Brown, a behemoth left tackle who excels in pass protection but is a poor run blocker, with Whitworth being 35. Could be a consideration. |

Seahawks just took Green. Very Seattle-y pick. |

Me too. Ben said he plans to play another three years. Can groom Rudolph to be his eventual successor. |

Forgot to mention the wild card Arden Key. 1st Round talent, major off-field issues. Raiders just traded up with the Rams to take him. Rams pick in 2 more picks. They obviously didn't feel comfortable with his character. |

Josh Sweat has some pass rush upside, from Florida State. Perhaps he could go to the Rams. |

Rams finally on the board. Select Joseph Noteboom from TCU. |

Rams take offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom. Started 40 consecutive games. Good athlete. Todd McShay says he has inconsistent tape. Heard that some coaches believe that they can coach him up on some technique issues. But a reliable, strong athlete at tackle is nothing to sneeze at in the late 3rd round. NFL.com's draft grade had him going in the 2nd-3rd Round. At one point I had him mocked in the 2nd round, about 3 weeks ago. Seems like good value. |

Rams still have 3 fourth and 3 sixth round picks...Have to imagine they get lucky on some of those. |

I feel bad for Maurice Hurst. The kid is a 1st Round talent, but no one is willing to risk picking up (up to this point) due to that heart issue that was raised at the Combine. |

Chargers absolutely killed the draft in my opinion so far.
Great picks.
Too bad they killed their fanbase also. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

You could argue that both Mayfield and Ward were reaches, although if Mayfield ends up as a good player and Ward ends up as a good player, it will still be a win for the franchise. I thought 4 was very aggressive for Ward, and they probably thought that they couldn't have traded down and still gotten him.
I do think they are in good position with the 33rd and 35th picks, with the type of talent that's still on the board. Unfortunately for them, they need a left tackle to replace Joe Thomas, and there are issues with the next few options at that position. If I were them, I'd take Harold Landry at 33 (they didn't take Chubb, after all), and then maybe go for either Connor Williams or Orlando Brown at 35. |
I was OK with Cleveland taking Mayfield at 1 (I would have taken Darnold) but they reached clearly at 4 by drafting for need instead of best player available.
Don't like their draft so far, although I do think Mayfield could turn out to be a good pro. Or a bust for a bad organization.
I also thought the Giants made a bonehead move taking the RB at 2 instead of a QB. Eli has been garbage for several seasons now and this was a clear opportunity to upgrade.
Chargers, Ravens, Broncos all with good picks. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I loved Derwin in the first, I feel good about Nwosu in the second, but to be honest thought Jones was a big time reach in the third, even if he did fit a need. Thought there were better choices for same position or greater value players available at that point.
That being said, day 3 gives us opportunity to add more talent. Few of my Bama boys Da'Shawn Hand, Bo Scarbrough and Shaun Dion Hamilton should get picked today, I'd like any of them late on if available. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

I think they should have just taken a chance on a 1st round talent in Hurst, at that spot. The odds are probably against Jones being a good starter, so why not take Hurst, knowing that you have a 1st Round talent for however long he's able to play? If he can't, it's not an enormous risk because of the odds that Jones isn't a difference-maker. But if he can play for a while, you just hit the lottery.
Beyond Hurst, I do think there were better DT's on the board, like Harrison Phillips and Tim Settle. |
