Will fan acknowledge now after 27 games and the Pacers sitting at 16-11 they made out pretty good in the trade
When the trade was made people said Victor Oladipo was over paid at 21 mil a season. To me he looks well worth that avg 24.5 ppg, shooting 48.5% from the field 45 % from 3's adding 5 rebounds , 4 assists and being a clutch shooter in late game situations.
Domas Sabonis has been solid off the bench avg 12.1ppg, 8.5 rpg and shooting 53% from the field and 79% from the line. Teaming with Myles Turner to give the Pacers 2-21 yr old bigs to build with.
In the end its seems reasonable to say the only losers in the PG not staying in Indiana deal will be the OKC Thunder
Regardless of what is says about Oladipo, I think it says plenty about what happens when capable scorers are forced to co-exist with Westbrook. Ola had a bad year with him, PG13 seems less than thrilled (who seriously cares what Melo thinks..) and before that was the ultimate "get-me-away-from-russ" when Durant bailed. Not a great track record going for him lately. Stats don't mean much if you can't win when it matters.

Curious to know where you would place George in the lineup. to me, you really have to play him at the 3 which would move ingram to the 2 or the
bench. _________________ Darvin
yall wanna bench ingram? why can't they both start..PG & Ingram?
Positionless basketball on offense.
PG plays 3 and BI 2 on defense. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Every team, even George's suitors in Boston and Cleveland, thinks there is at least a 75 percent chance George stays true to his L.A. plans. The Lakers certainly think that.
Looking forward to this coming to fruition 1 year later.

Sam Amick had a story last year about PG being hell-bent on joining the Lakers when he was still with Indiana.
In his recent post-game interview, George said playing at "Home" is a draw but not the only factor. He said OKC checked all the boxes making them a candidate for his return. He cited teammates, coaching staff and medical staff as factors. Other obvious factors are money, competitive opportunity, basketball fit, being in a positive environment and other business opportunities. He talked about being on the same page with management (what team will be assembled).
I do think he wants to win and that will be a major part of his decision making process. He isn't going to jive with a stripped down roster for a 2019 play. Pelinka is going to have to be creative with the roster options and Magic is going to have to be convincing to close the deal.
I think they will. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

"Anthony will opt in," a Western Conference executive said. "There's no question about it. He won't get [$27.9 million] anywhere else. The Thunder may have the most conservative ownership in the NBA. There's no way they'll pay $250 million. They can't do it."
Yes this is old but still very true till today. Just thought id post it to remind everyone. This article was written before the Lakers cleared cap space by trading Clarkson and Nance to the Cavaliers.

Yup. And unlike 2016 we have Luke instead of Byron who will sell his coaching vision and philosophy for him. We will have a United FO and a young core ready for a guy like pg. oh and we will have another max slot too to use in 2018 or 2019.
And it’s in LA where he just bought a 7m home last year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Guess who bought a $15 Million home in Hidden Hills recently?
I still consider it a two-team race between the Lakers and the Thunder, the Lakers being the favorite. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God.
