To put % in perspective. As the #2 seed in last years lottery we had a 56% chance of getting a top 3 pick. The #1 seed had a 64% chance to get a top 3 pick. So according to my crazy calculations somewhat confident is somewhere around 60%. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I really think George is on the fence and Laker fans are seeing this more with theirs hearts than with their heads.
He is sounding like a politician, delicately side-stepping anything that would disappoint either side, while not committing to either side at the same time.
If he truly enjoyed playing with Westbrook and the Thunder, and wants to make the MOST money while having a better shot at winning a title, then he resigns with the Thunder.
If he dislikes living in OKC and truly wants to come home and doesn't mind making a little less money and thinks the current Laker talent will be elevated to at least playoff contention, then he may sign with the Lakers... _________________ “Always remember... I'd say we are the favorites and he also has a much better shot at a title with us between our young core and extra capspace |

The confidence level is high. More than half the votes so far (56%) are either totally or very confident. I think we know most people's position by now and the reasons why they have such high confidence. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

You shouldn't be. LA and OKC are out in front. Philly is a distant third, if anything. I'm more than willing to go out on a limb and boldly predict that he's definitely not going to Philly. This has been a two-team race from the jump and still is. It's clear that he and Westbrook have built a genuine friendship and there are things about the org that he likes. But at the same time, he's wanted to come home for years now and finally has the chance to do it. He's not going to turn down both the Lakers and OKC for some other team. That's just not happening.
If he leaves OKC it's because he's signing with the Lakers. If he doesn't sign with the Lakers it's because he's staying in OKC. The Philly talk is just media/fan speculation that Philly ”makes sense.” Nothing beyond that. I wouldn't take the Philly scenario seriously until his camp acknowledges it as a legitimate possibility, and that's yet to happen. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Yea, thinking the same. And it's not like Philly are a great team already like GSW was when KD went there. There's a lot of question marks about them and Celtics without two stars are proving that even more. If they are to be a legit contenders, lots of things needs to go their way. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

PG genuinely looks like a guy who just wants to come home. Simple as that. Thankfully we have a very promising team to lure him. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

To be honest, the Sixers are a perfect destination for PG basketball-wise. He doesn't have to be top dog every night. He can come in with a veteran presence, but be around a team that has two generation talents. He would be impactful immediately on both ends of the court. Simmons will always find him. Embiid is a luxury. PG will get a lot of credit for something Philly will probably have figured out by themselves. All-Star games and All-NBA teams await. Championship runs and probably lifetime cheesesteaks.
Negatives would be, he'd have to spend lots of time in Philly (Sorry Yin). Doesn't get to come home and be the "Prince that was Promised". Doesn't get to play in front of families and loved ones as much (And i doubt he has too many hanger ons at this point in his career). Lets Magic Johnson down. Lets his city down. Will miss out playing next to baby Lebron, baby Kobe, and baby Kawhi. Slightly less endorsements. Starbucks might ask him to leave in Philly. Anything I may have missed? |

Yeah on the 76ers he would be 3rd in the pecking order. Sort of an afterthought. On the Lakers he would be revered as one who helped right the ship. Our young guys haven’t achieved as much as the 76ers where PG can get a lot more of the credit for the turnaround. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So WB and PG going paintballing?
PG to WB: so can I shoot my gun or are you still taking all the shots?
(WB snatches PG’s gun): I take all the shots. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

PG wanted to get traded to a Lakers squad last year that won 25 games. Seeing a 10 game improvement led by our young talent and Walton's unselfish system makes it an easy choice for George imo. I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't end up here. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."
