At this rate, it seems like we'll finish the year 16-146

Lost again to the Marlins, 6-5.....
We are officially the worst team in the NL West.

Been following this team for 20+ years and I've never seen them this bad....ever. Talking about post-Piazza trade and early-to-mid 2000's. Never this bad. And this is with a stacked lineup that, for all intents and purposes, should've won the damn chip last year.

That four-run rally (something that's never been done this year), you think would've sparked them.

But no, Puig and Kemp follow with worthless AB's with the go-ahead run on second and then Baez does what Baez does and gives up a HR next inning. So damn sick of that guy. Dude needed to be DFA'd two years ago. But somehow, he just keeps getting chance after chance. Insanity man....

I never believed this team was as good as they were last year. It was a great run..and if they won the world series they would have been talked about for years to come.

Everyone played out of their minds. CT3 came out of nowhere. Seager actually was the only one that kind of underperformed. JT was a top 3 hitter in baseball at most points of the year. Bellinger came out of nowhere and gave us almost 40 dingers. AB was playing like the best backup catcher in baseball. Like it was literally nuts. Forsythe? LOL.

The bullpen was crazy good. Morrow etc etc.

Everything was perfect. It all turned around in that series @ Miami where we came back and won the game. I was hoping this would happen again this year but it didn't.

Im starting the #FireFriedman movement, this is completely ridiculous and unwarranted by dodger management. We had to lose those free agents? and we took no risk to make the team better this year. Im sorry this guy is dead weight now, no wonder, crap latch president

We finally won a game. Great job by Maeda. 8 inning shut out.

Check out the retained and buried salary numbers at the bottom.

http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/payroll/

That's what hamstringing us, and why we couldn't afford to pay Morrow, etc.

Our cap next year after we're clear of the luxury tax penalties is like 60 million less, not even counting Kershaw:

If the team doesn't seriously re-tool after the season then I'll be calling for the FO's head, but for now I'm just disappointed we got to this point.

for a team that won 100+ games last year and that we essentially kept the same team as we did last year and we are already at 26 loses, you would think that they would tack players to keep the momentum going. Dylan Rodriguez wrote today how houston is still the roast of the league and we are a laughing stock

So in summary, we lost recent series to the Padres, got swept by the Reds at home and lost a series to the tanking Marlins....

Turner looks good. While logically it seems like this wont be a promising season, I'm still going to try to hold out another month to see if this season is completely lost.

Today's game is postponed. Probably the best result for us.

Any game that is not a loss is promising.

Utley strikes out but the ball gets passed the catcher so Utley runs to first and gets on. Does the pitcher still get credit for a strike out?

^Yes, it is recorded as a strikeout:

"If the third strike is not caught and the batter reaches first base safely, the official scorer rules whether the failure to catch the third strike was caused by the pitcher, in which case it is ruled a strikeout and wild pitch, or by the catcher, in which case it is rule a strikeout and passed ball."

Thanks to Arizona's struggles and the doubleheader sweep today, the Dodgers are only 6 games out in the division.

Thankfully we go the Nationals number..looks like 4 straight wins and pulling themselves from the bottom of the NL. D'Backs being on a losing steak is also keeping them in striking distance as well.

The lead is down to 5 games in the division. The bad news is Rich Hill could be out a month with blister problems again.

As bad as they were playing the previous couple of weeks, they aren't completely out of it. Just need to get on a roll and they can easily make up those games.

Quick question, how are so many people able to attend weekday games? With work, and LA traffic, I'm surprised so many people make it out every day
