If Julius is retained it will be because the FO believes that he's a long-term fit. |

Bobby Marks on the nba combine show, saying it may not be good to be a big in FA this year due to all the quality bigs in the draft this year. Might be good for the Lakers if Julius can be had for a lower price. |

I know everyone wants Jules on the cheap but with the work he's put in and the improvement and attitude adjustment he has shown, he deserves every penny he wants. |

Sure let's just give him a blank check and let him write in the amount he wants. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I've gotta say, I enjoy when Julius speaks.
Calm and honest. |

Ireland said on the radio a few minutes ago that Randle is shooting 1,000 3pt shots per day. Sounds great. The only concern though is that, if you practice doing something the wrong way, all you will do is become really good at doing that thing the wrong way. Hope that twist in Randle's jump shot is being eliminated as part of those 1,000 daily attempts. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

No, they "deserve" it when this team gets to the playoffs. Paying for stats leads to treadmill or bad contracts |

Why not, the only number that matters is his $12.4 mil cap hold, what we end up paying him means nothing. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

If your eyes are only worried about this year.
It'll matter if the Lakers are looking at 2019 for instance. |

Watching these playoffs, having a small ball center who can switch and recover is so invaluable. |

Lakers' front office say they have been in touch with Julius Randle, but his agent says his future is unclear
Quote: | Randle's camp is unsure of how mutual the interest has been.
"We still have no indication of where Julius stands among the Lakers' priorities, or if he is a priority at all," Randle's agent Aaron Mintz said Saturday in response to Pelinka's comments. "We are looking forward to the marketplace in July, when we will get a clear picture of Julius' future." |

Agreed. When we worry about a handful of centers in the league giving him fits one on one, we have to keep his overall defensive worth in context. |

Yup, and even without a jumper, Julius' handle and improved passing along with his ability to exploit switches in the post make him a viable offensive weapon whereas a rebounding specialist like TT and even a roll man like Capela can be turned into total non-factors on offense with a simple switch. |
