Boom. You got it.

The Rockets have a bit of market share in China, also. But yes, it's not like the Lakers' global pull.

Take this for a grain of salt:

Word has it that Lebron is talking to a school in the Valley (Sierra Canyon) about sending his kid there next school year. I don't know which kid but that's the word on the street.

Source?

Maybe it was when Lebron was seen working out there last offseason?

Source is some CSUN coach/assistant coach with ties to the NBA that bought a unit from one of the upscale neighborhood they are building in that area. But again.... it may be something... it may be nothing

That sounds a lot like his ex teammate Mo Williams

Is Woj guessing too? Chris Sheridan, who broke the story about him going back to Cleveland, has him leaving too.

Agreed

Cavs/76ers are local brands. They don't even come close to the Lakers in the world stage. + LeBrons family is not moving to Philadelphia.

If the Clippers didn’t have so many deadweight contracts on there team, they might him been a possibility for LeBron sweepstakes.... especially if location is a key factor.... so we might get lucky in that sense.

Yes - they are all guessing. They are paid to have opinions and make predictions. None of them know. Nothing is set in stone. We can lean on the words of pundits all we want, but their word is no more valid than anybody who is not LeBron.

Nah. Clippers never had a shot. It's mind-boggling that they actually traded Griffin to shed his salary and gear up for a run at LeBron, only for LeBron’s camp to completely shoot it down the very next day by saying he would ”never” join them, and that's with Jerry West in their FO. It's not just about being in the city of Los Angeles. It's about the glitz and glamour of being a Laker. The Clippers are based in LA, but they don't have a brand. There's nothing illustrious about being a Clipper.

Lol... that’s messed up if it’s true.

My personal opinion is that their FO must've gotten their hands on some ultra reliable intel about LeBron coming to LA. The way they traded Griffin midseason was just too random and weird. That's the only way I can make sense of it. Unfortunately for them, they traded their franchise player and ruined their reputation for absolutely nothing. Future is gonna be pretty bleak for them because it's unlikely that a star will want to join them after doing that to Griffin. Back to tanking.

Oh, really? So Chris Sheridan broke the story about LeBron going back to Cleveland 2 days before LeBron made his decision. Chris Hayes had Gordon Hayward leaving for the Boston Celtics two hours before he made the announcement. Hayward denied it, since he hadn't told the owner of Jazz yet, and then, and hour later wrote a thank you letter to the state of Utah.

But I'm sure Hayes just made a lucky guess two hours before Hayward told the rest of the world.

You’re probably right. LBJ picks up the phone and calls them
to let them or anyone know Exactly what he’s going to do. No
doubt.

Yeah, Sheridan pinned his initial tweet about LeBron leaving CLE after this year. And he said he's going to keep it pinned on his page until LeBron makes his announcement this summer. Doesn't sound like a guy who's just guessing.

I wouldn't necessarily look at it that way. His reputation when it comes to that is proven by his track record. Same with Riley. Magic is pursuing that same kind of reputation as an executive, which is probably why they passed on bringing West back, even though he wanted in on the new regime.

I know right. It's not like Woj doesn't break every story in the league. I mean, why else would ESPN fire all their basketball insiders and on air personality to hire that bum, since, you know, he's only guessing according to you.

Makes total sense LeBron calls him up. It’s what FA’s do.

I guess that's how the FBI caught Frank Lucas. He called them up, and told them he was selling drugs. I mean, according to you, that's how they found out right?

Yes - they are all guessing. They are paid to have opinions and make predictions. None of them know. Nothing is set in stone. We can lean on the words of pundits all we want, but their word is no more valid than anybody who is not LeBron.

Really poor job of understanding what you are replying to, which of those were reported when free agency was 2 months away? I am sure that what Lebron does will be known in July, just not now. It is all speculation.

I know many of us have sort of been rooting for Houston to win it all because it would seemingly diminish the odds that LeBron would choose to go there, but if CP3 is done for the playoffs (again) and Houston’s iso offense loses to the Warriors’ free-flowing motion offense, that could also be a pretty huge dent in Houston’s chances of getting him. Paul is one of his best friends, but his health is totally unreliable in the postseason, and I just don't think LeBron wants to play in another ugly, iso-centric offense where he and Harden just take turns pounding the ball and going one on one. I think how complimentary he was of Luke and the kind of offense that the Lakers run was another breadcrumb.

If you do your research, you would know that Woj reported about KD leaving for Golden State, six months before he left. Hell, Chris Broussard reported about Aldridge interest in the Lakers during a regular season game. Who did Aldridge meet with first, the Lakers.

Chris Sheridan has a tweet from August saying LeBron is leaving again. When they denied it, he said they were lying. Does a guy go to that much trouble to speculate on a story when he has 100k twitter followers?

But I'm sure Hayes just made a lucky guess two hours before Hayward told the rest of the world.

Really poor job of understanding what you are replying to, which of those were reported when free agency was 2 months away? I am sure that what Lebron does will be known in July, just not now. It is all speculation.

LeBron leaving CLE is now beyond speculation, into the realm of reasonable probability. CLE is capped out and its present cast simply asks to much of LBJ. Where he's going is another thing. I think Houston is certainly a probability, but I think Harden thinking of himself as the alpha hurts that. It would be up to CP3 to convince James that Harden can work with him. Same opinion on Philly. Embiid is too big of a personality and ego. The Lakers on the other hand, do not have that true Alpha leader and even PG13 can't be considered that. I believe that was the problem when Kobe was here. He cast too large of shadow for any other big name to want to here.

Thank you. I'm here all afternoon.
