He was third-team. The voters probably knocked him down because he missed 31 games. If he put up the same stats and played 75 games, he probably would have been first team.
Two of the three recent finals MVP didn't make any of the three all-NBA teams -- Iggy and Kawhi. When Dirk won finals MVP, he was only second team all-NBA, so this type of thing isn't that unusual. |
