Only if Bamba is there at #7. Otherwise, no.
IMO, this is a 3 man draft at the top. Ayton, Bamba, Doncic. In that order for me. After that, guys like JJJ, Bagley, Bridges, Porer, Young, etc don't wow me enough. For Ayton- yup. For Bamba- yeah. For Doncic- Maybe but I don't think his ceiling is higher than Ingram's necessarily, it would more so be for the cap space that comes with it while not giving away an asset to do it.
For me, the prize has to be Bamba. That kid is going to be a more offensively inclined Rudy Gobert-- with crazy speed and range. |

Cavs need to rebuild
I would offer them all of our picks this year and next year, plus Deng, Bryant and etc to match salries for Hood And Bron. Win win for both teams |

regardless of if we get Lebron/Durant/Kareem/Wilt, we have to keep our core of Ball, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle. these guys have ~10 years of playing at a high level ahead of them and will ensure we stay competitive for a long period of time. whatever pieces we add, these guys should stay _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

I don’t really care about the rest. I think Randle has hit his ceiling, unless he adds a jumper and a 3 point shot there isn’t much room for him to improve. He’s an average to slightly above average defender, a good rebounder and good offensely around the rim. maybe he’s at his ceiling. We will see. I wouldn’t be all that sad to see him go honestly, not a fan of his play style on either end. If LBJ doesn’t come i’d probably still want us to be relieved of whatever salary he will fetch and give kuzma his minutes. |
I would love to see Randle in the play offs. He would punish dudes1 But yeah he does need a jumper. |
Playoffs teams typically are better then average defensively and do a lot of game planning. Randle can’t shoot, so it would be pretty easy to shut him down. Look at Capela, who is basically a better version of randle. Against GS in 7 games he was 10 pt 10 rb guy which is fine. Randle would be a 8/8 guy at best in the playoffs, not even really starter material on a playoff team to be very honest (IMHO) |

It's amazing that anyone would think Randle has already hit ceiling after the season he just had. I actually agree with you. And of course you couldn't help throwing in a passive aggressive jab, but at least it's toward a poster who consistently misrepresents Randle's game and accomplishments (@Fortysix), so it's a bit more palatable. _________________ Under New Management |

We could sign Zsa Zsa and maybe he would attract Klay _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Ingram is still more valuable to the Lakers future then Randle any way you put it |

I'm obviously keeping BI and Zo.
I try to keep Hart, Randle and Kuzma but they'd be available/gone depending on the circumstances. |

Are you making a decision on year 1 or next 5-7 years?
If you are trying to have a championship window that extends as Lebron ages, you keep Ingram over Lonzo. |

Woof. So you're setting Ball's value as below that of Kris Dunn? _________________ Under New Management |

We are two of the most annoying posters on LG.com. If we didn't scroll past one another's posts on the regular, we'd probably open a rift in the space time continuum. _________________ Under New Management |

No. It is the same logic as the Ingram for #7 trade.
I wouldn't trade Ingram for #7. I wouldn't trade for Ball for Dunn.
But if you're constructing a trade to dump Deng and get something back, I am trading Ball before Ingram and that trade makes more sense for both the Lakers and Chicago. |

My post was poorly phrased, my bad. I would seriously think about it for #7 and Deng going out, but Dunn is merely meh with little upside at age 24. _________________ Under New Management |

We need a C with size that can switch onto guards, finish around the basket(bonus lob target) and do something offensively when given a favorable matchup. If you're going to have good defensive wings/guards, why ruin the whole thing with an immobile Center? _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Yeah I don’t mind, people here get very defensive about the players they like. I mean in the Randle thread the sentiment is that he is better than Draymond Green last time I checked. I don’t think he’s bad, but he’s also not very good...Capela > Randle = Portis in my eyes.
And yeah, he’s near his ceiling unless he learns to shoot. Say what you want, he’s just another guy whose production is amplified by our general lack of talent (like Clarkson).
Eventually I’ll be proven right...or not. |
