The Capitals just won a Stanley Cup in what was supposed to be an off year. They had much better teams in the regular season in previous years, last year in particular kind of went all-in with acquisitions, and it didn't work out. And this year it all came together for them in the postseason.
If you get in, anything can happen. The Royals got to a World Series when they were heavy underdogs against the Angels in the ALDS, and then lost to the Giants, and then they won it the next season. The Giants won 3 World Series in this decade when they weren't the best team in the regular season, or even close to it, in any of those 3 seasons.
It's clear we're not going to be one of the best teams in the regular season this year. But if we can get in, maybe Buehler is our pitching hero and who the heck knows. It's going to be interesting to see what Friedman and Co. do before the trade deadline. |

Idk man. With this FO, and Walkers history, I fully expect them to shut him down. Meaning all we’ll have is the ghost of Clayton Kershaw to blow another playoff series for us |

Anything can happen in the baseball playoffs. Just need to get hot at the right time. Last year we had supposedly one of the best LA Dodger teams of all time yet we got exposed in the World Series because the front office wanted to save money.....which turned out to be a huge weakness that the Astros were able to exploit. |

The Dodgers optioned Pedro Baez to make room for Caleb Ferguson, Dave Roberts said. |
Finally, the Dodgers can stop bringing him in high leverage situations for him to botch. |
While I've been waiting to hear this news for two years, I'm concerned this is just a short term in order to get Ferguson up here. Really really hoping this is a long-term, if not permanent thing. |
The joy of no Baez lasted all of 8 hours. This clown is back and immediately gives up a run upon insertion into the game. |
I didn't watch the game yesterday, but then I heard Baez got the win....and then I realized they recalled him immediately back to the majors because Cingrani got put on the DL....just his luck... |

Still hurts. Every now and then I think about that team, how magical it all was, everyone playing out of their minds, all the clutch moments displayed (even in that series), only to lose . . . just hurts |

Just heard on 570 that Dennis Santana has a tear in his lat.
Lol, this is insane.
Now the replacements are getting hurt. |

Buehler exits with an injury, but thankfully it's only rib soreness. My guess is he gets put on the 10 day and misses a start. |

Good to see their offense finally get going. 62 runs in the last 7 games. |

Whoa...
I'm ashamed to admit with all the injuries that I haven't been following them as religiously this season. With NBA over, it's time to get back on track. _________________ KOBE |

Bellinger has finally gotten hot. Dodgers are playing good baseball, despite obvious flaws/issues. |

Same here, I've let things marinate a bit during the playoffs, but this past week has been unreal. Like clockwork, they seem to find a way to kick it up a notch in June. |

He's had it rough with a stretch of 5-54 and the possibility of getting sent to OKC. Glad he's coming around bigtime. |

There is a concern with our bullpen. It's been overworked the last few weeks. We have four starting pitchers out. Kershaw, Hill, Maeda and Ryu. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Forsythe had an error that cost us 2 runs yesterday (which is how much the Braves beat us by). I've been noticing that we've been having a lot of errors this season, and actually, looking at the stats confirms my observation (we are ranked 24th/30 in errors). You just can't make mistakes like that. |

It's magnified when you play multiple players out of position. |

Dodgers were up 3-0 with bases loaded and 1 out. Puig and Bellinger struck out. Now the score is 3-2. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Dodgers need to make strong offers to the Mets for either DeGrom or Syndegaard. Inevitably, those two will be traded to some team for a combination of prospects/talent that will make Dodger fans pull their hair out --- something like a 10th best player, two dead bullpen arms, some cash, and a pick. And, all the while, reports will mention that the Mets "only" wanted Seager, Bellinger, Puig, Buehler, and our 5 best prospects. But we need to know that's all BS and the Dodgers can make these trades -- if they have the (bleep) sack. |
