Lopez?

Bryant?

Zubac?

#25 Draft Pick?

Cousins?

NONE of those work well if the Lakers sign PG13 & Lebron

Whats the plan??

Unfortunately, I have a feeling it will be Lopez, because I think we will have to let Randle walk... My hope would be that it is Randle though, if we can find a way to unload Deng...

Precisely why i put him after the "/": aka starter/backup in the standard representation of depth charts

Ed Davis I can understand for a cheap replacement... Amir Johnson, not so much. No rim protection, no floor spreading, no rebounding.

I haven't see him play that much, but I really don't get it.

Yeah, I predict. Lopez as well for cheap. Especially if they're going all in with 1 or 2 superstars like we know they will.

Really hope Lopez can get it together for us if he's there next year and play like his early Brooklyn self.

In the spirit of guessing things based on nothing during the offseason I'm gonna say Brook Lopez on a room exception deal.

Which I'm alright with, I guess. I like Brook. He's not the best player I've ever seen for the Lakers but he can spread the floor a little bit and we can usually cover his rebounding problems with strong rebounding at the guard spots (Lonzo, Josh).

I think our best option is Nikola Vucevic. Trade Deng, Zu, and a pick(s) for him. He is on and ending contract and makes 5.5 less than Deng next year. He would cost less than if we stretched Deng, and payed for ZU, a 1st, and Blo (assuming we signed him on a very cheap contract).

PG - Ingram - Ball
SG - Pope - Hart
C - Noel - Randle
PF - James - Kuzma
SF - George

A defensive team for the ages ...

Pope for 8 mill.
Randle for 5.5 mill.
Noel for room exception.
George and James for full max.
Deng stretched (or one of those creative Asik/Plumlee stretches).

If I'm only giving one name it's Randle.

His roster hold is too good of a deal and even if they sign two stars I really believe they'll give up the picks to turn Deng's dead money to a bargain for a guy that could put up star production even if he doesn't earn the name.

I predict they'll keep Lopez for the room exception with the wink deal for say 2yr/32M, but that's up to him and even if so he may start the game on the bench as a 24MPG center while Randle splits duty. It's a good sign though that no matter what James does, so many feel that we're in good shape to have Lopez or Cousins as our center next year.

Qualifying offer.

What team will pay him what he wants? It’s not beyond the realm of possibility to suggest that he won’t get any offers at all, which could force him into accepting 5.5 mil for one year.

IF Lopez doesn't come back it should be split between Randle and Bryant.
