The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers have interest in Leonard, each with a differing array of young assets to trade for him now and the potential of salary-cap space to sign Leonard outright in 2019.

Ramona said there is a meeting coming up with Pop but it's just a meeting to see where both sides are at. It's far from a done deal. And I believe she said if there is a trade it would be before the draft. I think. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Absolute madness taking on a player who was injured for a season at a supermax contract without seeing the long term effects of that injury first.
its not like their are doctors or somebody who can give him green light but then you don't trust the doctors as well.
They can give him green light to return to activity, but you cannot tell if there's a loss of ability/skill until he plays over a period of time.
Derrick Rose was greenlit to play 6 years ago . . but he wasn't the same and never got back anywhere close to MVP or perennial All Star level. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

But, he wouldn't be on a super max contract if he is traded.
I thought they were talking sign and trade... at any rate, I don't want to give up assets when we can sign him next year for free if he's our ultimate goal.

They can't do a sign and trade if he is still under contract. _________________ Previously LBJ23
Please quote the part where he says "good chance". He outlines all the possible scenarios but nowhere in that article did I read "good chance" that he gets traded.

I mentioned good chance as in, they are options... sorry for the misunderstanding.
I would rather not get into a bidding war with Philly (or Boston). They have far too many expendable assets to use and still have their main core that makes them intriguing.
Lakers on the other hand would be depleting their depth and the very reason some free agents are supposedly interested.
I'm fine with signing him in 2019 if that is how it worked out, but a trade doesn't make much sense to me.

woj says still a good chance they trade Leonard --> "....and they are a big part of the reason San Antonio prefers it doesn't come down to these trade scenarios."

You have to do that deal, and KL is only at 20 million for the season. KL, PG, Lebron is 85 million.
With all the negative publicity on Lonzo diss track on Kuz, I wouldn't be surprise now if one or two of them gets Dlo'ed with Deng like last summer. _________________ Tacos
Same. I’m probably the only one but I’d replace Kuzma with Ingram. I just feel like he’s a better fit with the hypothetical trio of Leonard, George and LeBron.
