Not sure if this was posted, just echoes the Ramona statement (Kuz mama posted it before Ramona's update)

https://twitter.com/KarriKuzma/status/1006926376639836160

Basically "ok kids, that's enough. Summer sucks, its boring, but get back to work now"

Same with Momo. Knock it off, heaven forbid a 20-year-old & a 22-year-old took it a step too far & don't understand the public optics. Don't think Public Relations were their majors in College. It's foolish, it's over, if you do it again, you'll be joining D'lo.

"People on twitter were telling me to 'get off my lawn'... It's not about me, it's not my own opinion. I know there were people in the Lakers organization yesterday who were not happy about this and they spoke to both Lonzo and Kuzma and told them knock it off. And I know that Kuzma and Lonzo have spoken, and they were first like 'yeah it's cool, it's cool'."

Very happy to see the FO step before it goes too far and hurt team chemistry and morale.

True, but I think the most immediate fear is that stuff makes the two parties seem like dumb teenagers while the FO is preaching character and "specialness" of the brand, winning titles, etc. I realize that this silliness doesn't necessarily mean the yutes aren't doing the right things everywhere else, but the optics are bad. Hate that term (optics), but in this case it applies, especially right before free agent signing period commences.

Time is ticking for LeBron and PG too for that matter. I guarantee you neither one wants to waste a year of their career babysitting these Laker kids. PG was playing with Westbrook this past season. LeBron has been to every Finals since 2011 and is used to playing with pros like Wade. It is a bad look for a team trying to lure these type stars. Maybe decisions have already been made and this is just a blip but it's still a bad look nonetheless. Hopefully the whole thing just blows over.

Babysit? This team made huge jumps especially defensively. The kids are alright and everyone can see that.

I like the Laker youngsters but talking about perception here. They were most likely joking around but any type of public immaturity at this point can only hurt the FA cause. We've already seen LeBron trade away a blue chip prospect in Wiggins because he didn't want to waste any of his prime years waiting on kids to develop.

Have to agree. Normally I brush off stuff like this but it looks like child care when you're about to pitch the team to vet free agents in search of championships. If Lonzo and Kuz don't want their asses shipped out, they'd be well advised to keep it professional.

Kuz did it first and then Lonzo got him back with one. Kuz didn't do another one after Zo's.

Ah! Thanks for the reply. My initial inclination was that Lonzo did it in response to Kuz's general social media roasting personality.

No Zo was responding to the original diss from Kuz which included "pizza face" as a reference to his bad acne problem.

Yeah, Lonzo really has his teammates back when he walked away from a scuffle. The headline was created by the Lakers, not some journalist. Just adding some actual factual information.

Good. They both need to chill out, especially 2 weeks before free agency. The ongoing public roasting makes them look extremely immature.

YES. They have no idea where things like this could lead.

And with FA coming up, no one want to play with a couple of
Clowns when the focus should be winning. Not saying that
they would get distracted but a FA would not know that.

Again, good call by the FO
