Dodgers need to make strong offers to the Mets for either DeGrom or Syndegaard. Inevitably, those two will be traded to some team for a combination of prospects/talent that will make Dodger fans pull their hair out --- something like a 10th best player, two dead bullpen arms, some cash, and a pick. And, all the while, reports will mention that the Mets "only" wanted Seager, Bellinger, Puig, Buehler, and our 5 best prospects. But we need to know that's all BS and the Dodgers can make these trades -- if they have the (bleep) sack.

Jacob deGrom, please.

I'd taker either one, hell both of them if the price is right.

I def want both. If I had to choose, probably DeGrom . . . but Noah is younger and, in my opinion, has the far higher ceiling. Good thing about both is they are proven playoff performers.

Yeah, my thinking there is that Noah would cost a lot more to acquire, due to the age difference.

Realistically, what do we think they'd cost to acquire?

CS: Yeah, I agree, Noah would cost more. And I second Moses' question: how much do you think it would cost? If the team is serious about acquiring Machado, and worried about Seager's ability to translate to a different position (or the long-term stress 3B may play on his arm) . . . do they go bold and offer him along with some prospects for both? Maybe JT (especially if he gets his stroke back)? I doubt they'd want someone JT's age.

Buehler to the DL with a microfracture in his ribs.

Yet another pitcher injured.

Dodgers have 9 pitchers on the DL:

- Kershaw
- Ryu
- Urias
- Hill
- Buehler
- Santana
- Cingrani
- Maeda
- Kohler

Just unreal man

Wow, the hits keep coming. Doesn't help that they are now 3 games back in the thick of the NL West race.

Mad Max and Joc Strap I must apologize to, one no name scrub and a washed out former prospect are playing the game at an all-star level the past 3 weeks. Not sure they keep this up but whatever's.

^ Joc may not live up to his first half rookie performance, but he's been a solid player, not complained about being shuttled around, and huge in the playoffs

This has been the theme with the Dodgers for several years now. Not really sure what's the symptom. At least Buehler's injury was just a freak accident that won't land him out of action for too long, nor is it deleterious to his career as a pitcher. I just hope there isn't some sort of change organizationally in the player development department that causes pitchers to be prone to injury.

True, but I have never seen it this bad. Even the replacements are getting injured (Santana/Buehler). Usually it's been one or two guys, but this time we have 80% of our rotation on the DL.

Thank god the bats have woken up.

Well, that's an interesting plate collision decision. Chirinos received the ball where he ends up positioned in Kemp's path to the plate and Kemp barrels into him. Unfortunately Kemp couldn't jar the ball loose. Both get ejected.

And earlier in the game Beltre is ruled safe when Barnes looked to have tagged him. Just like the Adrian Gonzalez play at the plate in the NLCS that completely changed the momentum back to Chicago, the replay reviews go against the Dodgers.

I guess the lesson here is... f' the Buster Posey rule. MLB just cannot seem to apply the rule or the instant replay consistently.

Yeah the safe at home ruling was complete BS. It was clear on replay - if he was out, we could have walked the next batter, and then got the pitcher out, and would have prevented the 2nd run.

Literally that was the ONLY thing he couldn't do there. A bleeping strike out (which he seems to be really good at tonight) would have been a better outcome.

And Grandal's deep flyout easily would've been the gamewinner.

Nice walk off win. Looks like we are back to where we should be. Ever since Turner came back, they have been on a roll.

They have won a lot when he is in the lineup over the past few years.

He is very good, my favorite current Dodger.

He's been our best player and most important player since we got him tbh. Other guys have had better spikes but JT has been crazy clutch and consistent. Guy is awesome.
