Rank who will play the most games this year:

Lonzo, Embiid, Steph, Deng

If they let him play... it would probably be Deng...lol

Just a random thought for down the road but has anyone ever thought about how Lonzo's injuries, loud-mouthed father, disappointing season relative to all of the noise and expectations could be devaluing his future earnings?

I feel like this could all end up being a situation similar (but for completely different reasons) to how the Warriors were able to get Steph's 2nd contract on a much cheaper basis than what he's actually worth. In turn, this allowed them to have the chance to build this super team. Even a potential LBJ/PG pairing would be coming off the books in the middle of Zo's 2nd deal, which could allow another round of stars to come in after.

Hoping Zo can play a full season or at least 70+ games.

The moment he gets hurt again this season, you can already feel that a lot of Lakers fans here will be channeling their inner 2007 Kobe, "ship his a-- out"

Only the injury part. Steph was good but coming off injury so they were able to lock him up for cheap.

If Lonzo pans out and stays healthy, he'll command high money even with his obnoxious father still yapping over here. Then again, SAS just mentioned a few days ago that if Lakers were trading for Kawhi it would probably be Ingram/Kuzma because the Spurs organization won't tolerate the Ball circus, so that right there kind of blemishes his trade value a bit so who knows.

Kawhi never played 70 games until he was 24.

AD never played 70 games until he was 23.

Kyrie never played 70 games until he was 21.

Klay never played 70 games until he was 22.

Lakers fans need to chill out. 😂

My personal favorite is let’s trade him with Deng for a top 3 pick

Noticably Bigger Brandon Ingram continuing to work this off-season

Notice Ingram, who improved his shooting greatly after his rookie season, still working on fundamental shooting. That's like 4th/5th grade shooting clinic stuff. Obviously it works and it's useful to break someone's shot down to the core to improve it.

I really hope Lonzo is doing something similar. I don't care if he's "always" shot the way he has. Laker management needs to stop saying things like "it's worked for him all his life, no need to change his form." Well, he was terrible at shooting last season, so there is some need to change something. It doesn't need to be a complete overhaul (though maybe it should; I mean Kobe did and it worked), but there just needs to be some focus on mechanics and staying consistent.

He can't continue to shoot three pointers one way and free throws another. I mean his release points for both are different! That right there is already a bad sign.

his dad dropped this nugget again today on the radio....

Quote:
He then said Lonzo deserved credit for Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle all having career years in 2017-18.

out of all the ignorant things this man says....I find things like this the most concerning....he keeps mentioning guys in the locker room, especially insinuating their success was only because of his son....it is going to be a problem sooner than later.

We need to trade Lonzo now!

Lonzo + Deng for Josh Jackson + #1 + $5M

During the exit interviews they talked about things like working on consistency. He may not changing his form, but he’s working on making it go in more.

Are you sure?
I mean, Lonzo can't shoot. He had a hurt knee. His dad is horrible.
Can't we unload him for the #1 pick, and last year's #4, all while unloading deng?

Magic drafted him knowing how Lavar was. It's going to be interesting to see how he navigates through this.
