Was Mitchell or Porzingod the bigger miss from our FO?

Mike Bresnahan on Sportsnet confirmed Lakers never worked out Jayson Tatum.

He did say Lakers got Donovan Mitchell in for a workout but nothing extraordinary.

Tatum is a nice player but I don't see superstar. Not sure what I am missing and what they are seeing. All-star? sure, once he develops a little more, but I just don't see superstar. Donovan Mitchell is another story. Dude has superstar written all over his game.

Still too early though to determine who was the bigger steal between Porzingis and Mitchell.

Mitchell at 13 was daylight robbery. Wasn't a fluke that Dennis Lindsey got him. He also drafted Gobert.

Regarding Mitchell, the Jazz was just a perfect situation for me to excel.

If he went to Denver, I doubt he would of started over either Harris or Murray. In Utah, he is literally the only iso scorer on that team along with Hood, but they traded him for peanuts.

Mitchell literally went to the best situation for a rookie

Looks like Donovan wants to be a Laker too. Can't blame him.

And he’s masquerading as Kawhi Leonard.

Looking at some older threads it seemed like a few here knew Porzingis was the best pick for the Lakers but I did not see much on Mitchell so I would guess if fans could see Porzingis being so good then Porzingis would be the bigger miss.

Just go the NBA Draft topic/forum. Lots of good stuff there on the draft.

Bizarre they never worked him out. Maybe Ingram was already on the team and the front office had their eyes set on Kuzma?

Dude was a major Kobe fan, but pretty sure FO wanted a culture change.

Lonzo does that. Tatum doesn't. And frankly, there's no guarantee Luke would have disciplined Tatum's game like Brad Stevens.

If the superteam was made this summer, I think Markhannan would of been the perfect player for this team

Can we stop calling him Porzingod? He's just an inefficient volume scorer right now.

Hard to say, but since Mitchell was taken with what, the 13th pick? A lot of teams underestimated him. Look at Kuzma, he makes the all rookie team, and he was drafted later in the first round. He also played 3 years in Utah, so there is not a lot of excuse for not seeing him play.

72 games
66 games
48 games

He's going in the wrong direction. If Lonzo is injury prone, Porzongis is a bum.

Porky. He and Randle have very complimentary games. Would have been fun to watch.
