Yeah I thought he'd put on a bit more muscle then he has so far, hopefully he's getting stronger

So much for being "untouchable".If a team can upgrade you they will move you in a heartbeat.Thats the way it is pretty cutthroat really.

This is why fans shouldn't be so upset with players for putting their best interests first. There is no such thing as loyalty with these front offices.

This is the way business is done and sometimes it sucks you get attatched to a player as a fan and within hours he's gone. There really is no Loyalty on either side player or team. Each party is looking for their best interest imo.Thats the world we live in for better or worse.

Yup. I was upset when DLo was traded.

I was quite upset when JC and Nance got traded too. You get invested when your team has drafted them and you've watched them grow. I remember seeing Jordan doing a press pack when we drafted and he was so quiet and unassuming, he called every reporter "sir"....skip forward three years we got this amazing quote out of him regarding BI's game winner:

“(bleep), that mother (bleep) was wide open!” Said the model dater to Lakers Nation Serena Winters. “He better shoot that mother (bleep). If you ain’t shoot that (bleep), I might’ve slapped them worms right off your mother (bleep) head.”

See? Growth

I think of them like my own kids... I love them... Some of them I cant take to much of though (JC was one of them, d/lo too).. We cant keep them all...

BI I would HATE to see go... This guy is going to be a star!

With Ball's injury coming out and he reports that the Lakers never offered Ingram, maybe BI's not the one who's leaving...

Trade anyone but Kuzma and BI for Kawhi. Don't do it Magic. BI is gonna be really, really good.

Can't see a deal getting done without one or both being included. It's impossible. Any offer from the Lakers that doesn't include one or both will easily be beaten by another team that's willing to give up more.

You're right. I'd offer them one or the either but not both. We're trading our core for a 3 year window before Lebron starts to break down and PG becomes Carmelo. I really don't want to see Kuz and BI killing us in 3 seasons as Spurs.

Tell me the honest truth.

If the Lakers get Kawhi and LeBron and trade their core for that three year window.

And the Warriors get Rudy Gay on the MLE and Dwight Howard on the vets minimum.

Do the Lakers ever beat the Warriors in that 2-3 year window? I very much doubt it.

Nope, which is why it's stupid to trade our core for KL.. You've got a chance if you wait for him to come the season after.

If Lakers get LeBron then that means they still have $30mm in free cap space. They can load up on 1 yr deals or take on 1 yr expiring deals. Spurs lose leverage however you look at it because now the Lakers can basically sign Kawhi outright in a year OR give the Spurs a player now but not multiple players.

Who said we're trading the whole core? If the Lakers get their way, only BI would need be given up. And if it's BI for a healthy Kawhi, you do that every single time.

Since we're talking about hypotheticals, say we still keep Zo, Kuz, Jules, and Hart, along with Bron and Kawhi. That team can beat the Warriors team which showed up against Houston. Injuries, the fatigue of playing into June every year, complacency...can't discount any of that when projecting the Warriors going forward. And I hope they do add players like Dwight and Gay that take minutes away from their best lineups, that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for us.

Then it won’t get done. Spurs will have to settle for Covington and Saric or Kyrie. If KL is in indeed LA bound, then these offers may not even be offered.
